“Alright, let’s go mining!”

After redistributing our wealth, we ventured into the wild for the basics of Minecraft mining.

“Let’s give it a go.”

Holding the diamond pickaxe obtained from Anna’s House, I said that with slight hesitation.

Still, I had some conscience left, so I didn’t over-pull and only took enough to craft starter gear.

– What the heck, starting with a diamond pickaxe is a bit much.

– This dude is really overboard.

“Hey, you don’t know about initial support funds?”

– Must be some loot, lol.

– How could Anna mine diamonds…

“I’ll pay it all back later!”

It’s not like I brought a lucky pickaxe or anything. I should at least gather this much.

I just need to mine 27 diamonds for a full set.

And so, I started digging downwards.

Having already mined in the Celestial Realm Minecraft server, I quickly descended underground and began mining iron first.

“How much is this iron worth?”

– That’s garbage, dude.

– Don’t expect to make money from that, lol.

“Really? Shouldn’t I at least be mining diamonds?”

– Yup.

– Diamonds are pricier.

– You can’t earn money just by mining.

“Then what earns the most money?”

Stuck in this dark mine, I couldn’t believe I wouldn’t make any money? There seemed to be no logic in that.

– Farming is the hottest choice, yeah!

– Fishing earns a lot too.

– Go work at Gan’s place, quick!

– Crop prices are high right now!

“Farming is the best, huh? But does Gan really do that well?”

– Yeah, he’s top-tier on the server.

– He’s probably still at it now.

– He’s a veteran here, lol.

Is it really that intense? I remember thinking he was pretty cool from the highlights I caught…

“Then let’s just gather some diamonds and head to choose a job.”

For now, I decided to continue mining to gather diamonds to place back at Anna’s House. I started chatting with viewers while swinging my pickaxe.

“Anything good you’re watching lately? Well, I haven’t been watching anime.”

– Ugh, fashion otaku.

– Have you seen anything from this year??

After a long while, I once again began rattling off Miro’s recommended anime list while mining.

Mining iron, mining iron, and more iron.

Eventually, while collecting copper and other ores to fill my inventory…

“Why aren’t diamonds popping out?”

Looking at the measly ten-odd diamonds dropped so far, I voiced my frustration.

This is way too scarce!

– How on earth did Anna collect hers?

– Seriously, where are the diamonds? Lol.

– Other people seem to get them fine.

“I can’t keep mining like this.”

Since nothing was coming out, I decided to pay Anna back with cash instead, and slowly climbed back up.

I’d sell all the iron and whatever else I had to make some money.

Luckily, I had a return scroll in my inventory, so getting home was easy enough.

No wonder it was a streamer server; if a streamer received a certain amount in donations, they’d receive a random lottery ticket.

I had gotten a return scroll from that.

“So, which job is good?”

Upon returning to the village, I approached the job bulletin board.

Before selling my items, I was considering what job to take.

After all, I could always switch jobs later if I paid the fee, so I was open to trying different ones.

– Fisherman, for sure!

– As I said earlier, let’s go farming.

– Farming is solid.

– Beginners should try fishing, right?

Looking at the chat, opinions were split mainly between fishermen and farmers.

Couldn’t hunters be an option? They might require too much money to start off?

“Then should I try fishing?”

In the battle between farming vs. fishing, I chose the latter.

Isn’t fishing a bit more romantic?

Honestly, it does seem easier than farming too.

If only they’d just give me a fishing rod as some job perk!

Being in a server that prides itself on capitalism, I started smelting all my mined ores in Anna’s House furnace before heading out to sell them.

– Wow, this guy using Anna’s house is so natural, lol.

– When’s Anna coming back?

– Talk about freeloading here.

“Come on, does using the furnace cause damage? It’s not like that.”

I even used my own coal, but people are still so stingy.

But come on, I can’t just buy land to build a house and install my own furnace when I’m in this position.

Regardless, I went to the mineral shop and sold everything in inventory.

Then I was taken aback as the results of my efforts showed up in concrete numbers.

“…3,000 won? I mined for two hours.”

– No lucky pickaxe, right?

Stunned into silence for a moment, I quickly got my bearings and asked about the important class switching costs.

Then I headed over to Anna’s House with the 10 diamonds I hadn’t sold and the 3,000 won I just earned.

– If you give that all back, what’s left for you?

– Already done with your debt? Lol.

– Hey, don’t log out, keep going!

As I placed everything, money included, into Anna’s warehouse, the chat surged with comments, thinking I might log out of the server.

It’s only been just over two hours since I joined the server.

“I’m not thinking of logging out.”

First, I emptied my inventory into Anna’s warehouse, then I began refilling it with valuable items again.

– ????

– No way, lol.

– You shouldn’t take that too!

– How will Anna survive?

“Come on, I can just pay her back by fishing.”

Am I some untrustworthy person here?

In fact, I’m someone who ranks high credit-wise and always has solid collateral.

I don’t know when Anna will be back.

Before I see that chest half wiped out by Thanos, I need to convert it into cash.

For now, even though it’s looting, it’ll be free to purchase.

With my funds now in single digits, my inventory emptied and my only possessions consisting of a fishing rod, bait, and gigantic aspirations, I arrived at a large lake in the village.

“There are people here.”

– This place is a prime fishing spot!

– You should grab a spot too, let’s go!

– If you don’t have bait, just borrow it from someone nearby.

So borrowing bait is fine?

Well, I should have enough to buy some, so borrowing won’t be necessary.

Having scraped together all my funds, I was completely prepared for fishing.

I set my fishing rod with great enthusiasm.

With a deep sigh, I closed the box.

I had deliberately set my spot far away to avoid any sound interference, so I casually turned to glance around the lake.

I retracted my fishing rod and left the lake.

Strolling across the village, I headed toward a pond near the center.

To my surprise, I found groups gathered near this small pond, engaged in conversation.

– Is Miro really that much of a loner? Lol.

Among them was a female streamer chatting with viewers, standing alone.

“What are you doing all by yourself?”

When I spoke up, she turned her head in shock and jumped in surprise.

…She’s genuinely startled when I approach.

– She’s really surprised.
