Chapter 371
Hello, this is Da-Jang.
I’m writing this to leave my thoughts on Part 1 and Part 2 of the work.
I had a lot to say in various ways, but when it comes to writing it down, I find it hard to recall.
First of all, I want to express my gratitude to everyone.
Thanks to your love and interest, I feel the work has come this far.
There are moments when I hit a wall while writing several times a day, and during those times, I think about how I need to repay you by showing you the next episode.
Of course, I feel sorry for being late a lot…
I’ll try to work on that.
Now, talking about the work:
Originally, my vague goal for completion was at the end of the year live event.
But as the story progressed, characters like Hyeon-su and Moon Chang-sik appeared, and as Miro’s world expanded with second-generation students and acting, I realized I needed to write Part 2.
I remember that at the end of Part 1, the view count was barely under a million, but now… it feels overwhelmingly gratifying.
I think deciding to write Part 2 was a good choice.
In fact, by the time Part 1 ended, I had long used up all the ideas that existed in my head.
Above all, the broadcast-related parts were virtually without material, except for the second-generation students, when I entered Part 2.
And Part 2… as you know, had much more content serialized compared to Part 1.
I worked hard to think it through… and it seems the writing flowed as Miro went along.
Actually, Part 1 was very similar in that regard.
Today, I went to Hyeon-su’s Workshop—and since I was out, I thought I should stop by the composer’s workshop too—
Oh, but when I arrived, the great actor Moon Chang-sik was there…!
Overall, in Part 1, it felt like I was meeting new characters and engaging in external activities little by little.
Part 2 seems to have been a bit more refined.
Most importantly, after deciding on the solo concert, I was able to push forward rapidly.
And this is a personal sentiment, but I feel I’ve grown a lot while serializing nearly 400 episodes.
Especially the solo concert part for Miro, which was divided into three episodes, was something I wrote diligently, and even now, I think it was very well done.
And there’s something I’ve been wanting to clarify….
In the early part of the story, Miro recommended “Dragon Ball” as a ‘must-know’ while pretending to know a lot.
At that time, I drew it with the belief that the end of tuning is purity…! But it seems that part led to misunderstandings about my capacity for comics….
Since elementary school, I’ve been borrowing books from rental shops, and during middle and high school, I would take friends to comic cafés, reading at least a few hundred comic books.
So it feels a bit unjust to be misunderstood as someone who doesn’t know comics, and I wanted to address that….
By the way, I personally still think that “Slam Dunk” is the GOAT in comic history….
Anyway, that’s that.
Returning to the work discussion, the scene of the rumored romantic involvement that I believe readers were very excited about has been something I have been mulling over for a long time.
I think I was waiting for the perfect moment to burst it out during the drama gathering before the concert!
Of course, various episodes were added in the meantime, and it came out a bit later than planned according to the story progression….
Perhaps that’s why I was quite flustered, trying to cram several incidents in before the concert.
And as you might have guessed, originally, I intended to conclude the work after the solo concert.
I thought it would be romantic to end it with Miro as a VTuber, starting from there and branching out in various ways.
The last concert is also something I had envisioned several months ago.
But just like in Part 1, as I continued to develop the story in Part 2, the number of scenes I wanted to write gradually increased.
Critically, after Part 2 ends, I wrote a list of what to write for side stories, and it turns out there’s just so much to cover.
I thought, “At this rate, it makes sense to just move into Part 3,” and that’s how I started thinking about the next steps.
The atmosphere felt like a conclusion, and thanks to all of you who were more disappointed than I expected, it gave me a lot more courage.
Finally, for the last reflections.
I posted the first episode last April.
I remember writing the first two episodes spontaneously and posting them together.
Since I thought that if the first episode had more length, it would be more impressive—
And after that, the spontaneous serialization has been quite unstable.
Still, thanks to your interest and love, I’m able to maintain a decent level of consistent serialization now.
Did you know? Even during the holidays, I kept the serialization going for over two months straight.
It was just a holiday, but I felt I had to write every day, so I ended up writing and coming up with various excuses to post.
In the future, even if I can’t keep up with serialization on break days, I want to at least stick to the serialized schedule.
And sometimes, when I set up a scheduled post but it keeps getting pushed back…
It often happens that when I copy-paste, the text appears oddly, so I usually allocate 20 minutes for revisions and set the scheduled post.
But if that revision takes longer, I keep pushing back the scheduled time while revising….
I can only apologize for that.
This concludes my reflections, and below I’ve written responses to the Q&A.
And in fact, I boldly announced I would do a Q&A, but… answering all the questions would lead to many spoilers for Part 3… so I’m really sorry for only selecting questions that won’t spoil anything while answering.
I appreciate your patience as one day, you’ll get to read the answers to the questions in the main text.
Lastly, thank you all for everything up to now, and I hope for your continued support.
Information about Part 3 will be at the end of the Q&A.
——————–
Q. Which VTubers do you like?
A. Rather than a specific one, I like those who sing well. Last year I liked Japanese VTubers, but this year, I find myself drawn to Korean ones too.
Q. What are Tenshi and Sake’s real names??
A. Tenshi and Sake’s real names… only Miro knows.
Q. When will Sake’s Beastrz members’ signatures be given out?
A. The signatures are in Miro’s House Warehouse… as of the story’s point, Miro has also forgotten, so I think they’ll be delivered later on.
Q. Do you have plans for your next project?
A. It seems you asked this thinking the work has concluded… but it hasn’t, so right now, I’m focused on Miro’s story. I do have a little interest in this year’s Nofia Competition. If I write a next project, it will likely be something I haven’t done before, perhaps fantasy, urban, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, or historical fiction.
Q. Are there plans for making emoticons?
A. Actually, I intended to create them before, but I ended up postponing it more and more, and there’s been no progress until now… I’ll try to push ahead.
Q. How did you come up with Miro/Mirro/Kim Soo-hyun, and what was your prior research?
A. Miro/Mirro/Kim Soo-hyun came to be without a particular trigger or prior research. The only standard was to avoid overlapping with real-life figures as much as possible. Most characters, including Miro, don’t have a specific motif. Just look at Moon Chang-sik; he’s a completely fictional great actor.
In fact, my initial image of the main character Soo-hyun was that of a cool beauty living next door who turns out to be a bit of a nerdy VTuber—though that has changed somewhat along the way.
I remember having a hard time thinking of a name for Mirro… No matter how I thought about it, I felt Mirro was lame, but I couldn’t think of anything else, so reluctantly insisted on using it.
Q. What happened to the character Pyeonsuni that appeared early on?
A. ㅎ.ㅎ;; I guess she’s living well… She almost became Loa, but it seemed to clash with the direction of the work, so she might be a character that won’t appear.
Q. Can you tell me the fandom names for Loa and Mile?
A. I think I used the fandom name for Loa while describing the community, but I forgot. I’ll look it up later… It was probably something like Loryuksu or Daekkaelo….
For Mile… I’ll dig through the initial setting documents carefully.
Q. What impression or presence does Miro have among the Celestial Realm members?
A. It seems the seniors view her as a reliable and impressive busy junior. They’re thankful as well. As for the juniors, they’ll probably idolize her more as they progress through their stages. It seems Miro keeping her distance enhances that feeling.
Q. Does the author have any plans to debut as a VTuber?
A. I’ll just watch from the sidelines….
Q. What are Miro’s three sizes and cup size?
A. Miro’s avatar matches the illustration exactly. As for the real Soo-hyun… I think I once requested the chest size to be reduced when commissioning the first illustration. It’s not that large, like the avatar.
Q. What is the scale of The Six? Will other broadcasters affiliated with it be appearing later on?
A. It’s hard to explain the scale of The Six in detail, but it is gradually growing. The members of the Celestial Realm are playing their roles well, and they are expanding aggressively. There are currently no plans for other affiliated broadcasters to appear.
Q. OhFanMu
A. ㅎㅎ;;
Q. Is there someone that serves as a motif for Miro?
A. There isn’t a specific motif. As I mentioned above, most in-story characters, events, and songs don’t have an intentional motif. Well, video games are the only exception… ㅎㅎ;;
Q. Will Miro show her computer science skills from her past life?
A. As of the story’s point, Miro has completely forgotten how to code… If she studies again, she might remember quickly.
Q. When will you and your manager go for a health check-up?
A. I intended to get my health check-up first and reference that for writing, but I still haven’t gone… It will probably come up eventually.
Q. Next episode!
A. Part 3 will start tomorrow. Once again, I hope for your love and support.
Lastly, thank you for all the questions, and I’m sorry I couldn’t answer them all.
