“I’m not making fun; I’m just saying that your no-nonsense nature is just right for me.”

“Ah, I get it. A compliment? Nah, considering your personality, you definitely meant to poke fun with that convoluted way of saying it.”

“Haha, you caught me.”

After not seeing Bagira for a while, I felt a strange sense of relief since he wasn’t one of those quirky types like Soware or Etoile, and maybe it was the scent of the tatami that somehow calmed my nerves.

“Well, whatever. What are your plans from here on out?”

“Hmm, I think I’ll take a little break here and then head back.”

“What’s with that? Sounds like you don’t want to go home.”

“To be honest, if I didn’t have to, I wouldn’t want to. It’s just too much of a hassle.”

I did want to see my parents, but the thought of dealing with that other thing and the mental exhaustion from meeting Fiera and the others made me feel like living here was just too easy, and that longing to return diminished.

“You sure have it rough.”

“I really do. You know those guys I mentioned before?”

“Oh, the ones who love you, right? Isn’t it nice to have people waiting for you?”

“It’s fine if they’re just waiting. You get it, right? Those eyes filled with overwhelming love they sometimes show.”

“Ah, that. Yeah, that gets scary. Even though you haven’t done anything, when they look at you with those eyes, you start to wonder if you’re the bad guy.”

“Right? Just seeing those eyes makes my stomach hurt.”

“I totally get that.”

Then we both let out an exasperated sigh at the same time, and Bagira also lay back on the tatami, falling silent as if to forget everything.

“Take care on your way back.”

“Yeah. Thanks.”

Two days after returning to District 4.

Having rested as planned, I was having my last chat with Bagira.

“You can come here anytime if it gets tough over there. I don’t know if you can escape, though.”

“My lady.”

When the girl reached the throne room, she plopped down on the throne, where only the king was allowed to sit, twirling her light purple hair, when someone in a black robe silently appeared and knelt before her.

“Did you take care of all of them?”

“Yes. As always, we’ve dealt with all those connected, regardless of age or gender. Additionally, we are handling the other nobles and knights involved in the matter as per your instructions.”

“Okay, good job. So, the mission is all wrapped up, right?”

“Yes. The Solcène Kingdom was the last one.”

“In that case, let’s head back. I’ll return as soon as everyone is finished with the cleanup, so make sure to wrap things up quickly.”

“Understood. Then, once you return, about that matter…”

“Ah, right. Once I’m back, I’ll have you take care of that too. Please pass it along to everyone.”

“Understood.”

“Sorry for asking so much while you’re tired.”

“It’s no trouble. Our only master is you, my lady. If you wish for our deaths, we’ll gladly die, and if you have a goal, we’ll risk our lives to make it happen for you.”

“Thank you. That’s really reassuring. Well then, I’ll be counting on you.”

“Certainly.”

With that, the robed figure vanished, and the girl stood up from the throne, picking up an enormous scythe that had been leaning against it, and spun it around as she left the throne room.

“Oh, I have to put things back before I leave. Um, what was I… I? Hmm. Me… I? Ah, that’s right, it’s ‘me.’ I remembered. Now for the voice. Aah, aah.”

While saying this, the girl changed her voice to be high and low, and the high-pitched voice gradually deepened, transforming from a girl’s voice to that of a young man.

“Yeah, this sounds right. Now then, let’s go home and kill everyone.”

Lastly, the girl muttered that in a young man’s voice, grinning sadistically, and she vanished from the scene as if no one had ever been there from the start.

This time, it was mainly about Lewis, but Fiera and the others faced various issues too.

There wasn’t much about Fiera afterward, but I’m worried about what happened to her.
