Chapter 303

Smack!

As Sera swung her hand, the head of the protagonist, Kang Ye-seo, turned sharply.

“How dare you….”

Despite Sera slapping Kang Ye-seo, their expressions were completely the opposite of the situation.

With blazing eyes, Kang Ye-seo glared at Sera.

Meanwhile, Sera, who just had swung her hand, winced and frowned deeply.

“Oh no…!”

Fired up by that gaze, Sera lifted her hand again.

However…

Thud!

Kang Ye-seo seemed to have had enough, gripping Sera’s raised wrist tightly.

“Are you trying to catch me?”

The usual innocent expression was nowhere to be seen.

Her face, piercing with a look as if she would kill Sera, was nothing short of sharp.

Filled with fury in her eyes and disdain on her face, Sera felt her body twitch in response.

And that emotion only fueled Sera’s anger further.

Did I just get scared?

From that good-for-nothing girl who’s hustling to put food on the table?

To Sera, who often looked down on Kang Ye-seo and felt slightly inferior, this was a major blow to her pride.

Unable to hold back her momentary rage, Sera swung her other arm.

Slap!

“Oof…!”

Caught off guard by the sudden slap from the other side, Kang Ye-seo fell to the floor with a thud.

“…!”

Surprised that she had hit harder than intended, Sera couldn’t help but go wide-eyed at the sight, but soon forced a chuckle.

“…Ha! Well, serves her right for being so cheeky!”

Had it been Sera who got slapped, she would have spun three times in anger.

But when it was her handing out the slap, she turned to act all righteous about it.

Watching Sera, Kang Ye-seo’s expression twisted in disgust.

“This….”

However, seeing Sera panting lightly, covered in cold sweat, made Kang Ye-seo crack a small smile despite herself.

“Laughing, are you?”

Just as Sera was about to get even more furious at that smirk…

“Miss!”

Sera’s attendants, whom she had previously left behind, rushed in late.

They were the very ones Sera had successfully eluded not long ago, but they quickly came looking for their miss.

Rushing over, they gasped upon seeing Kang Ye-seo on the ground, her cheek reddened.

“Ah!”

Sera was the face of the group.

With looks that could rival any actress, her grandfather cherished her dearly, often bringing her to official events, ensuring her face was familiar to the media.

But hitting someone else’s cheek in public…?

They could almost feel the stock of the group plummet in real-time as they frantically looked around before addressing Sera.

“Miss, let’s go.”

“Why should I? She should be the one leaving.”

“…There are many eyes around.”

In reality, there were hardly any people around.

However, one could never know where a reporter might be hiding.

“Ugh, come on.”

The attendants, who had their own investments in the group’s stocks, urgently urged Sera to leave.

As Sera, huffing in indignation, finally departed…

“….”

Kang Ye-seo stood up from the floor, patting her knees.

She touched her reddened cheek for a moment, then blankly stared at where Sera had just been.

Her expression seemed to say she would no longer be a victim.

**

“Cut! That’s good!”

The filming had wrapped up.

“Ugh….”

At that, I threw off my coat.

Did I mess up a bit during the shoot? Hoping it wasn’t too noticeable, I glanced at the director, who was reviewing the footage.

I really hoped it wasn’t a NG…

To be honest, I wouldn’t be able to do it again if asked.

Before changing clothes, I shuffled over to Han Ye-eun.

“Are you okay…?”

It was a scene where I slapped her, but of course, I didn’t hit her for real.

We had choreographed it beforehand, so as I swung my arm, Han Ye-eun was supposed to turn her head.

Naturally, I also held back my strength.

But that second time, I accidentally swung a little too hard.

I’d gotten too immersed in the emotional acting, and my arm had tensed up.

“Ugh, it’s fine.”

The actress was sweating profusely during the scene but thankfully hadn’t sustained any injuries.

“I’m really sorry….”

“It’s okay.”

…Phew.

I was relieved that Han Ye-eun had such a good temperament.

To be honest, even swinging my soft little arm at someone, I shouldn’t have caused any harm, but it would have been understandable for anyone else to get angry.

“Hey, you two! Can you come over here?”

Just as I was feeling a bit relieved, the director called me and Han Ye-eun over.

Thinking he was calling us over because of how the shoot had just gone, I approached him, and sure enough, he showed us the clip from the recent shot.

“Take a look here.”

It seemed he was being meticulous about monitoring crucial scenes.

Both Han Ye-eun and I focused intently on the screen.

“Here, you made a mistake, Soo-hyun.”

“Yes….”

And just as expected, the director pointed out the part where I had accidentally swung harder than intended.

…It seemed to seamlessly transition, but was this really a NG?

Feeling a brief flutter of anxiety about having to do it again, I glanced at the director, who thankfully nodded just as he normally would.

“It’s fine for Sera to be a little bewildered after slapping. We’ll go with this.”

“Oh, yes.”

I replied to the director calmly but cheered inwardly.

No need for an additional shot.

The fact that I could finally take off these clothes was pure bliss.

“So then, is today’s shoot over? Good job, everyone.”

“Thank you for your hard work, director!”

After responding to the director, I headed promptly to the costume room.

“Phew….”

After tossing off the unbearably hot designer clothes, I changed back into my light, casual wear and finally felt the cool breeze.

“I’ll be heading out now. Everyone, take care.”

“Oh yes, take care, Soo-hyun.”

After bidding farewell to the nearby staff and actors, I returned to my car.

“Were you hot? Here, have some water.”

“Oh, thank you.”

I accepted the refreshing water that Park Kang-seok was handing me as he waited in the driver’s seat and started to recall the remaining scenes involving Sera.

From here on out, Sera’s solo act of boiling rage would commence.

Fueled by her anger and the family’s wealth, she would charge ahead, eventually culminating in a crash!

A future of downfall awaited beyond the line.

…It wouldn’t be easy.

Definitely needed to practice more.

“Well then, I’ll be setting off.”

As I pondered over my role for a moment, the car smoothly pulled away.

“Today, we can take it slow.”

“Understood.”

Since the filming ended early, I thought I could return leisurely and just stream.

**

[Hello, hello]

Once I got home, I turned on the stream a bit earlier than usual.

-??

-You’re back early

-What’s the occasion?

-Hi, hi!

“Oh, hi, everyone.”

I greeted the quickly flooding viewers and immediately pulled up the fan café on the streaming screen.

Today I planned to check out the Celestial Realm fan café after quite a long time.

-??

-What’s the deal here?

-Celestial Realm..? What’s that?

“Oh dear, did everyone forget the memories over the time?”

-???

-Well, they should’ve come in more often, huh? hehe

-What the hell, how long has it been?

I had come to check out the pile of popular posts but was so out of the loop, I was even confused about where to start.

“What pages should I begin with?”

-How would we know?

-Let’s just hit the latest posts, yeah?

-We won’t see it all today anyway, so let’s just skim.

-Start from about a month back.

…A month back?

Has it been that long?

Hmm… I felt like I had popped in occasionally.

Regardless, since looking at popular posts would be quick, I started scrolling through from the latest.

As I scrolled down, I spotted an intriguing title.

[Izakaya Sake Mentioning Miro]

Mentioning?

Did Sake say something?

Clicking into the post, I found a short video along with captions describing what was said beneath it.

From the captions, it seemed to be talking about when I was in Japan a while back.

I clicked on the video, and I could hear Sake’s voice, which was in a completely different broadcasting tone compared to her usual voice.

…To be honest, it was a bit awkward.

Perhaps since I had seen her true self?

I hadn’t felt any awkwardness after hearing Tenshi’s real voice, but Sake’s true image presented quite the contrast.

-Haha, lol

-Sake acknowledges Miro too, wow!

-You should share your own stories about Japan too.

The viewers, unaware of my thoughts, were simply awestruck by the interpretations of Sake’s stories showcased in the captions.

Sake was showering me with praises, prompting viewers to grow curious about the Japan stories.

“Japan? Honestly, nothing major happened…”.

I didn’t think anything particularly stood out…

All I could recall was hanging out with Tenshi and giving Sake a signature.

-Don’t skip it! Share more!

-How did you two get close??

-Any plans to visit Japan again?

“Japan? If I have the chance, I think I would go again.”

Truthfully, right now, with filming schedules, it would be hard to make it.

If I were to go, it would likely be after filming wrapped up.

I scrolled through some café posts for a bit.

From bizarre humor posts to other mentions from the Celestial Realm members about me, I scoured the recent updates.

“Everyone seems to be doing well with their broadcasts.”

-Oooh

-You should do well too.

-Any collabs coming up?

“I’d like to collab, but….”

While I preferred solo streaming, there’s no denying collab sessions are much more fun.

I could do a stream with familiar first-generation members, or even a second-generation member with whom I might feel a bit awkward, or a completely new third-generation member.

-Let’s go, let’s go.

-Come on, do it!

-Collab with Anna!

-Do it with Loa!

-What about Rain? She made you a track.

“Rain? If I’m going to collab with someone from the third generation, I’d rather do it with someone else.”

Rain is the only third-generation member with whom I’ve done a collab.

So if we were to do it, it should be someone else, right?

-What a waste, haha.

-Stop bringing up the track, haha.

-Rain wanted to collab though…

“Rain said she wanted to? Bring me the proof first.”

If Rain really wanted to collab, she would have mentioned it in our group chat.

The Miro Family group chat is quite active in that regard.

-Open up the donation post.

-Just posted in the café, check it out.

-You don’t believe it, huh? Haha.

“Posted it? Oh….”

Checking the latest post in the fan café, there indeed was a video where Rain had mentioned me.

…Should I really do this sometime?

Thinking about it, it’s been ages since I’ve not collabed with the juniors and even got tracks from them.

“Hmm… I’ll make sure we do it altogether.”

Since I’ll be doing it, why not get Loa from the Miro Family to join in as well?

With four of us together, the numbers would match, and there’d be plenty to do.

“Make sure you do it! Haha.”

-If you don’t, watch out!

-You brought it up.

“Yes, yes, I’ll get it done.”

And so, with that promise, I leisurely browsed through the café again.

And speaking of collabs…

While I just said it casually, I genuinely thought it would be cool.

I should bring it up sometime soon.
