Chapter 287

The Villainous Noble Who Kept Rewinding After Death: The Story Somehow Changed When I Committed Suicide

Chapter 275: Enrollment

“El. Wake up.”

“Hmm… What is it?”

“Explain the situation.”

“The situation?”

A week had passed since my complete loss in the duel against the Headmaster. On this day, as I was skipping class and napping in the shade of a tree in the garden for S-class students, I woke up to a familiar voice.

“Hey, good morning. Did you sleep well, Princess?”

“…Huh?”

Rubbing my sleepy eyes, I opened them to find Meijina looking down at me, affectionately stroking my head. A bit to the side, I noticed Fiera staring at me with an unusually blank expression.

But that wasn’t all; looking around revealed Iris grinning with an overly beautiful smile, Shuvina chatting with Sonia, Sephiria, for some reason, praying, and Sharueina laughing in disbelief. Miria was standing a step back, watching the whole scene.

“Um, what’s going on?”

“I just asked why you’re getting a lap pillow from the Headmaster, El.”

Indeed, as Fiera pointed out, for some reason, I was currently in a lap pillow position provided by Meijina, feeling the softness and warmth of her legs beneath my head.

“First, could you please move away?”

Fiera said this as she pulled me close by my arm, glaring at Meijina as if she were some kind of enemy.

“El.”

“Look, I don’t even know. When I first fell asleep, I was all alone—so how did the Headmaster end up here?”

“Fufu. I was bored, so while out for a stroll, I happened to find you sleeping. Since it was a rare chance, I thought I’d try giving you a lap pillow, how was it?”

“Well, to put it simply, I don’t understand what you mean.”

“Headmaster. If you could kindly refrain from indiscriminately touching my fiancé, that would be great? Even though there’s hardly anyone around, it wouldn’t look good if someone saw. Please consider your position.”

As Iris stepped in front of me and Fiera while looking at Meijina, Shuvina, Sonia, Sephiria, and even Miria positioned themselves to block the view of Meijina.

By the way, Sharueina alone still looked exasperated, seemingly watching how this would unfold.

“Fufu. Louis really is popular, isn’t he?”

“Headmaster. Could you please not ignore our conversation? Please answer Fiera’s earlier question. What is the situation, exactly? And your relationship with Lord Louis as well.”

Since I could only see Iris’s back, I couldn’t tell what kind of expression she had, but from the atmosphere, it was evident she was quite angry, and for some reason, I felt as if I was being blamed too.

“Well, as I mentioned earlier, I found him while out for a stroll. Regarding our relationship, simply put, I proposed to Louis-kun.”

“Huh?”

I couldn’t tell whose voice that was, but with that declaration, the air in the room instantly shifted—becoming heavy and cold.

“A proposal, you say? Lord Louis, is that true?”

“U-Um, it’s not entirely incorrect, but that was a joke from the Headmaster during our duel. Moreover, I rejected that talk.”

“Ah, I see how it is.”

“Hmm, that was the intention at first, but after actually competing against him, I became interested. So, I thought being together might be nice. Now I’m somewhat serious about it.”

“I see.”

Iris said that, and after a moment of silence, everyone waited for her next words.

“For now, I understand the situation and the Headmaster’s side of things. I also intend to understand how Lord Louis feels about this. With that in mind, it seems we need to have a little discussion.”

“A discussion, huh? Well, I can understand your feelings toward Louis-kun, so I’ll agree to that. But really, it’s nice being young. You easily show jealousy and possessiveness for your beloved. It’s something I might not have anymore at my age.”

“I think the weight of feelings has nothing to do with age.”

“True. Even among us elves, there are those deeply in love, even after hundreds of years together.”

“Oh dear, you’ve got me there. When someone like Shuvina says that, I can’t just use age as an excuse anymore.”

Meijina chuckled, clearly enjoying herself, as she stood and looked towards Iris and the others.

“So, a discussion it is. Fine, I don’t have any plans after this, so let’s all grab lunch while we chat.”

“Got it. Fiera, come over here too.”

“Yeah.”

Fiera walked away from my side to stand next to Iris, and they all stared Meijina down in a six-to-one standoff.

“Is Is okay?”

“No, it’s not okay. But the conversation is progressing regardless of my will.”

“Ha-ha. Iris just mentioned it, right? Everyone understands your thoughts. Based on that, they just want to resolve it on their own. That’s all there is to it.”

Sharuena spoke to me, who was still struggling to catch up to the situation, with a hint of envy in her eyes as she looked at Fiera and the others.

“Ugh. Then, even more so, I can’t grasp why they’d act this way, knowing my thoughts and feelings.”

“That’s… well, never mind. In any case, Is should just live as he wishes. They seem prepared to follow along, and they don’t seem inclined to stop you, and I think that too.”

“Well, I wasn’t planning on doing anything else anyway.”

“Good. That’s how it should be. Now, I’m going to head over there for a bit.”

“To where?”

“To Iris and the others, of course. A mediator is needed, right? Or do you want to take that role?”

“Not a chance. I’m heading back to my room to rest.”

“I see. Well then, take care.”

With that, Sharuena waved goodbye and made her way towards Iris and the others, starting to take charge of the situation.

“Ugh. Staying here any longer will only complicate things, so I’ll head back.”

Having zero interest in their conversation, I left the garden alone and returned to my dorm room.

Two weeks later.

Finally, this day had arrived.

“Nice to meet you. I’m Shudo, and I’ll be studying in S-Class from today. Thank you for your support.”

As Shudo said this and bowed his head, all the other classmates, excluding me, applauded to welcome him.

Then after he raised his head, the moment he glanced around the class, he spotted me and shot me a glare.

“Ugh, I hate that guy.”

“Same here. Just looking at him makes me feel sick.”

“I agree, he’s the one I dislike the most in the world.”

As Shudo glared at me, Fiera and Shuvina noticed and returned the glares as they said so.

“Well, if he talks to you, just ignore him. I won’t stop you if you want to engage with him, but I’m not going to help you if things go south.”

“Yeah, that’s fine.”

“I know.”

Since there was a possibility that they could get brainwashed by his magic through interaction, I decided to forewarn them that I wouldn’t assist if that happened.

(Well, Fiera seemed fine even after encountering his magic last time, and Shuvina endured it too. I don’t know what will happen moving forward, but for now, I guess observing is enough.)

And so, with Shudo’s enrollment into S-Class, my current life started steering toward the same future as my past, making my school life noisy once again.

And with that, the Hero Awakening arc comes to a close!

It ended with a rather mundane feeling, but finally, Shudo awakened as a Hero and enrolled in S-Class, leading to the present slowly starting to follow the same results as the past.

However, not everything is the same, as Iris, Sonia, and Shuvina don’t seem to have the same fond feelings for Shudo as they did before and currently classify him as an enemy.

Regarding the next update, I plan to enter a new arc after inserting flashbacks for the sixth and seventh cycles.

I’m planning for two episodes, but since the past arcs tend to have heavy developments, I’ll be posting them consecutively as soon as they are ready.

If I can finish writing by Thursday, I’ll post on Thursday, but if I can’t get it done, the posting will be on Saturday, so I’d appreciate it if you could read it once it’s updated.

Finally, I’ll do my best to keep you entertained going forward, so I’d appreciate your support!
