Chapter 272
“How is it?”
After watching the music video, I felt a bit tense and asked the Composer.
Since this track is the result of Miro Family’s work rather than just being the creation of the Composer’s son, Jeong-hoon, I was a bit nervous about getting feedback from the best expert I knew.
“Hmm.”
The Composer’s expression was peculiar.
“I have a lot to say about the things that are lacking…”
“…a lot?”
So there are things that are lacking? I wanted to ask what they were, but I held back and waited for the next words.
“It’s wonderful. Jeong-hoon has met good people and is blossoming with his talents.”
I internally sighed in relief at those words.
Only then could I somewhat grasp the Composer’s expression.
A father’s face filled with pride.
It was honestly a look that felt completely out of place for the Composer.
“That expression is a bit creepy.”
“Really… even when I say it.”
“So you think the song is good? That’s all I need to hear.”
I still had questions about the shortcomings, but since it was already finished, I decided to just push it aside and forget it.
“By the way, I’m curious about one thing, why is the song in Japanese?”
“Oh, I thought it’d be better that way.”
Jeong-hoon’s song, as mentioned before, is in Japanese.
I did worry that it might be a bit much, so during the recording process, I tried singing a Korean version, but it just didn’t fit.
“Well, considering the vibe of Soo-hyun’s broadcast, this might actually be fine.”
“Right? As long as my viewers like the song, that’s all that matters.”
Miro Family’s songs are meant for concerts.
In a way, they can be considered tracks made specifically for the fans, so song performance metrics aren’t a big concern.
“By the way, the title is nice.”
As the Composer commented while rewatching the music video, they seemed pleased with their son’s work.
The title… actually, Jeong-hoon’s original title was much longer and more extravagant, but I shortened it.
“Oh, ‘Wind’?”
“Yes.”
It’s indeed the wind that blows fiercely.
I thought it matched the song’s vibe, so I named it that.
“When will this song be released?”
“I plan to release it within this week.”
I had even assured Ahn Jung-hwan earlier that it would indeed be released, so I’m certain I’ll call the Manager today on my way out of the workshop.
“Hmm, I’m looking forward to it.”
“Right?”
I was originally confident, but thanks to the Composer, my conviction was even stronger.
This is going to get a good reaction.
Certainly.
***
“How does everyone feel?”
Just now, the premiere screening of the new song “Wind” had wrapped up.
As resolved, the release process moved incredibly swiftly.
Well, I just handed over the song; the one who facilitated it was the Manager.
-Kya hahaha
-Great Miro
-This one is really good
-But why is it in Japanese? Haha
Since I had gathered people to showcase the premiere, responses flooded the chat so quickly I could hardly keep track.
“The song is great, right? Our Jeong-hoon worked hard on it, and the renowned Murasaki Tenshi even joined in featuring.”
-Great Tenshi
-Korean-Japanese alliance LOL
-As expected, the big events are handled by Nippon
-The featuring was good
“Right? It was worth the effort to invite such a big name.”
-Invite her with great difficulty?
-Considering her appearance with you, I bet she would have done it right away LOL
-The music video is amazing, who’s the team behind it?
“The music video was made by the same team that worked on ‘Loneliness’ during Christmas.”
-Loneliness, ugh;
-They really know how to make it GREAT LOL
-Can I ask how much it cost?
Since the premiere had just ended, questions kept pouring in.
But really… the price, the price.
Ahn Jung-hwan’s team has a reputation for quality, and if they charge full price, it’s going to be quite steep.
I mean, they’re using an entire professional team to create this, so the cost wouldn’t be low.
However…
“The price was sponsored by The Six. Everyone give a round of applause.”
Since the company covers it, there’s really no burden on me.
-Kya hahaha
-Go Six
-The Six is bold LOL
Honestly, I do feel a little guilty.
Considering the additional tracks I’ve requested recently, this is already the third one.
I might be drawing too much from The Six.
[Thank you for the 1,000 won donation, OOO!]
But wow, the song is REALLY good;; Jeong-hoon <— this kid really knows how to deliver…
“Is that Jeong-hoon?”
-Hahaha
-Isn’t that really Jeong-hoon?
-Are we getting an autopsy here? LOL
“Well, not really… but Jeong-hoon really did a great job.”
-Yeah, uh-huh…
-He really did well
-Is he really in high school?
Those critical viewers recognized and praised Jeong-hoon for how well he did.
He committed so much, even skipping school to burn the midnight oil.
Should I give him a bonus or something? Maybe we should all go out for a dinner gathering later.
[Thank you for the 1,000 won donation, OOO!]
But why is the song in Japanese?
There were many questions like this when the song was first released.
It seems the Composer and others really did find it puzzling that the song was in Japanese.
“Oh, that’s because Jeong-hoon was heavily inspired by that side. The outcome just fit Japanese better than Korean.”
I heard that Tenshi helped a lot with the Japanese lyrics.
In the end, since the song captured the authentic vibe, I’m satisfied.
-Pro-Japan Jeong-hoon LOL
-Hwang-bon is literally a pro in language O_O
-Are you aiming for a Japanese debut?
“Japanese debut? I think I already have some Japanese fans?”
Since I collaborated with Tenshi and maintained ties, there are still a few Japanese viewers following me.
While Korean chat is prevalent due to the growing scale, Japanese messages do pop up every once in a while.
[Thank you for the 10,000 won donation, Jang In-Miro!]
The music video turned out great, but what do you think about making some viral shorts?
-Gig gag gag gag
-That’d be awesome
-That’s how everyone does promotions lately
Shorts… it seems everyone’s making a lot lately, should I give it a shot too?
“Making shorts might be a good idea.”
-Yeah, you post a lot of those on your channel
-If you scroll through, you'll find a lot of celestial realm videos
“Oh, do all the celestial realm members make them?”
-????
-Why don’t you know this? LOL
-Your channel has the most, man
-This guy LOL
…My channel has the most?
“Ahahaha, should I take a look?”
I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t checked, but maybe it’s time to dive in and see.
“Oh… there really are a lot, huh?”
Once I checked my channel, there were indeed many shorts uploaded.
The view counts also seemed decent, indicating that things might be going smoothly.
Since The Six has been managing YouTubers for a while, they’ve become exceptional at managing YouTube channels.
-Let’s go check out other places too?
-Subchannel too, let’s go!
“Oh, subchannel.”
I was already aware of the subchannel.
In the past, the Manager created one to run alongside mine, setting up an account in my name.
While The Six manages it, the channel itself is under my name, so if new plans are made, I have to create the account myself.
“There’s a lot here too?”
The subchannel had a collection of videos that were a bit awkward to post on the main channel.
-Half of it is Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Civilization LOL
-This place is a dump LOL
-That smells, let’s just head back to the main channel
…Yeah, especially the videos on Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Civilization do dominate.
The latest Romance of the Three Kingdoms game I modelled for was posted on the main channel and had been popular, but the older ones were stuck here.
And honestly, their view counts were pathetic.
“Those kinds of videos are really the treasure, but the trendy folks on YouTube don’t know their value, right?”
-What don’t they know, you jerk;;
-They’re just stealing the good stuff, those guys with good taste..
-Sigh, I should just watch YouTube instead of the live broadcast.
“Hey, Miro’s broadcast is the flower of live streams, don’t go anywhere and stay seated.”
As great as YouTube might be in terms of income and size, I believe the true power of an internet broadcaster comes from live streams.
That’s why the Celestial Realm has such overwhelming dominance in the domestic VTuber scene.
Structurally, it’s been able to share viewers to some extent.
As more people join, the synergistic effect creates a virtuous cycle.
Look at the third generation students; even though they just debuted, the number of live viewers is in the thousands, and they’re growing rapidly.
There’s no other company in Korea that can create VTubers like this.
Long live The Six and the Celestial Realm.
Anyway, since I’ve checked the channel, now it’s time to work on the shorts video concept.
“What kind of video should we make?”
Since we had viewers, I decided to ask for their opinions.
-Are you doing it? LOL
-How would we know what you should do?
-Don’t bother, just give the source to the company and ask them to help.
“Wow, you guys really…”
-But it’s a fact
-Miro only records videos, LOL
-Stop it, you!
*Sigh...*
I was trying to do something, but the viewers kept insisting that I just leave it to the company.
Plus, they were all right, making it hard to argue.
Have I really been this lethargic?
This stings my pride.
Miro Family is also gathering people and sailing smoothly.
Well, I could just follow along with what the viewers are saying and ask The Six to handle the video, but…
I’m not only a VTuber of The Six but also a broadcaster leading a massive fandom.
I need to show some authority here.
“I’ll handle this shorts myself instead of leaving it to the company.”
-???
-You’re doing it?
-What do you mean? You can’t even edit LOL
-DON’T try to be self-important, just pass it over
Yeah, I can’t edit, and I have no idea how to cut the video to fit shorts.
But I’m the leader of the fandom.
A leader isn’t someone who can do everything.
“Okay, I’ll create a competition category in our fan café, so please everyone join in.”
A leader is someone who gathers skilled individuals and utilizes them appropriately.
-So in the end, we’re doing it?
-This is total bull LOL
-If you make the prize money small, I swear…
-Come on, I’m logging into the café!
-So, how many do we need to make?
