Chapter 247
[New Year First Post]
(Celestial Realm Group Photo)
Here, the first post of the gallery is Celestial Realm eating, haha.
– Damn, this is the first post of the new year?
– For real, it’s officially turned into a VTuber gallery.
[Reason Why This is a VTuber Gallery]
Why watch things like VTubers, you nerds? <— Miro is famous, you know?
Why would you tap on someone you don’t even know their face? Idiot, haha <— Miro is pretty, though?
So, is she more famous than ??? Haha <— Miro has a movie out, you know?
Miro Miro, damn, Miro fanboys are the worst.
- Miro’s a cheat code, that’s true, yeah...
- Why is this place a VTuber gallery, you nerd?
N So is she more famous than Miro?
N So is she prettier than Miro?
N So does she have a movie like Miro?
N Seriously, just popping out like that is creepy.
N Hahahahaha
[Does Miro count as a VTuber?]
Now, I think Miro should just be recognized as a celebrity and Anna should reign as the VTuber queen, yeah...
- These guys have been saying this forever, haha.
- Don’t send Miro away, dumbass.
- Yeah, I won't let her go, lol. Anna will be the number two for life.
[So, did Miro actually go to that party?]
(Instagram Capture Collection)
What the heck, would a VTuber even go to a place like this? Seems like a party for celebrities.
- But Miro is a celebrity too, you know?
- Does actor Kim Soo-hyun look like a loser to you? Haha.
[Miro Party Lineup Collection]
(Instagram Photos Captured)
Overall, there’s nothing publicly available, so I just gathered photos from those who posted on Instagram.
- Wow, damn hahaha.
- What, is this a social club or something?
- Even the chairman of a conglomerate wouldn’t be able to pull that off.
[Miro actually went to such a place?]
Miro isn’t a kid anymore... damn...
- Hahahahahahaha.
- Did Miro come back home at night? Did Miro come back home at night? Did Miro come back home at night?
[Miro being cute enough to keep her broadcast on even when she's drunk deserves a thumbs up, haha.]
Originally, she was on a break, but she kept the broadcast on for 24 hours.
- This person’s head is broken, haha.
- Is it you again...
- Not stopping until the New Year countdown is legendary.
N For real...
- We live in the era of Miro now.
[What is this?]
(Lee Kang-jun’s New Song)
New year, new song, lol.
- What? It’s featuring Miro, damn haha.
N It really is, damn hahah.
- The whole world is a VTuber gallery.
- That song is good, haha.
[Miro vs. Miro, who wins?]
(Music Chart)
Both are on the chart, haha.
- Is Lee Kang-jun famous? He’s climbing the chart right away.
N Yeah, he got popular last time.
N He still has some name value left.
N He’s more famous than Miro, idiot.
N Haha, that’s a bit much.
N Please go outside, you VTuber nerds.
- This is kinda awesome though, haha.
- This person’s just a legend of the Celestial Realm, haha.
N For real... maximum output.
**
A little time has passed since the year-end countdown.
In the meantime, Lee Kang-jun’s song was released, and other than that, I spent my days much like before the year-end, and now the new year buzz was starting to fade.
The location of the filming location I usually went to has changed.
“Been a while since I’ve been here.”
Seeing the Historical Drama Set covered in white from the snow last time, it looked definitely prettier than before.
Not long after I signed the contract, the filming team had departed from here, moving to other filming sites, and now they had rented the historical drama set again.
Last time I was here, it was cold enough to wear a coat, but now I could feel the chill even in a puffer jacket as I entered the filming area.
“Oh, has Soo-hyun arrived?”
“Yes.”
“Chang-sik is over there, so you can go.”
“Oh, thank you.”
Now, I had fully acquainted myself with the staff and other actors, naturally receiving guidance.
After all, I had come here quite often for acting practice, so it made sense I'd blend into the filming location.
At this point, I thought maybe I could consider myself a respectable member of the filming crew.
As I followed the direction the staff indicated, I spotted Moon Chang-sik deep in conversation with Director Weasel.
As I approached a bit closer, they spotted me and waved.
“You came?”
“Oh, yes, hello, Director.”
“Yes, still as polite as ever.”
“It's only because it's you, Director.”
I’m not usually the kind of person to be overly polite, but I instinctively bow my back when meeting the director.
Moon Chang-sik's past advice and the fact that no middle-aged person dislikes a young person who greets well played into it.
“Was the conversation that important? Should I wait a bit?”
Visiting the filming location frequently gave me insight; it felt like Moon Chang-sik was indeed a little above the average actor.
He discussed directing with Director Weasel and often had talks about the script with Writer Ahn Ji-young.
Having accumulated experience and learned various things, I felt like I could soar through any field at the filming site.
“Oh no, this is related to Soo-hyun, so since you're here, let’s join in.”
“Me?”
“Yes, practice is about to wrap up, so it’s time to play your part.”
“Oh.”
Come to think of it, I did mention I would be appearing as soon as the filming location changed.
With lots of practice under my belt, it was definitely about time.
“...It's time to showcase the fruits of our practice.”
How much have I practiced during this time?
In practice, Kim Soo-hyun must have died hundreds or thousands of times.
“Yes, practice hard as much as you’ve practiced.”
“Since my teacher has taught me a lot, I shall repay you with a great performance.”
“That’s a bit…”
If I died hundreds or thousands of times in practice, then Moon Chang-sik must have killed me that many times.
Of course, the awkwardness decreased over time, and intimacy rapidly grew.
At this point, I felt like it was okay to consider myself a true disciple.
Though, it was more like an intensive lecture on the scenes I would be filming.
“Well then, let’s give it a proper shoot today.”
“Today right away?”
“I mean, you’re ready, aren’t you?”
I thought it would be shot the next day or the day after, but hearing it was today made me a bit nervous.
Honestly, while I did think I practiced a lot… I wasn’t sure if I’d do well.
But if Moon Chang-sik gave the okay, it meant I’d be fine enough, right?
“Well then, I’ll do my best.”
“Yes, that posture is great. Soo-hyun.”
As I spoke confidently, Director Weasel nodded, seemingly satisfied.
Well, if I have to do it, it's better to do it confidently than without self-assurance.
“Well then….”
Director Weasel then went on to explain the shooting schedule in detail.
“Oh, not yet.”
“I’m not fully prepared yet.”
Filming wasn’t immediate.
There were things to prepare, and they said they’d film around the afternoon when the sun wasn't too harsh.
“Well then, I’ll take Soo-hyun and practice some more.”
So, with some spare time left, I decided to practice more with Moon Chang-sik.
“Oh, Soo-hyun.”
“Yes?”
On the way, as I was puffing out breath in the chilly air, Moon Chang-sik casually chatted with me.
“Did you go to the year-end party?”
“How did you know I went?”
“I heard it from a fellow actor.”
“Oh... what did they say?”
Was it a witness account?
Year-end party Miro sighting... just thinking about it sends shivers down my spine.
“They said it was quite impressive, you know?”
“Me?”
I was just in a corner of the party, though?
What was so impressive about me?
Oh, since I have the looks, maybe it stuck in the minds of those sensitive to appearances in the entertainment industry...
“When they saw you holding a bottle of expensive wine known just by name, they were like, there’s no way this wouldn’t be memorable.”
“Ah, I see.”
...Did they observe too much?
No, it’s more like they just stared, but that fits better...
“Sorry if I made a nuisance of myself back then; feel free to apologize on my behalf.”
“Let’s just say it was an impressive enough moment; it wasn’t unpleasant.”
“...I’m glad to hear that.”
Looking back now, I doubt that people would feel scared or put off by a pretty person like me; it’d probably just seem fascinating.
Thinking about it from a guy's perspective after so long, it didn't seem too bad.
“Seriously.”
To that, Moon Chang-sik seemed bewildered but didn’t deny it.
“By the way, do you usually drink that much?”
“Me? No. I hardly drink a few times a year.”
That’s the truth.
I hardly get the chance to drink.
With broadcasting almost every day, when would I even have time to drink?
I’m not much of a drinker to begin with.
“Really?”
“Yeah, back then, it was just that... the red wine was delicious, so I drank until I got tipsy and went home.”
That story is already over a week old, but it’s still a bit embarrassing to recall.
Out of guilt, I even sent a luxury Hanwoo set to Hyeon-su's Workshop for the new year, just to make it clear.
“Expensive things are worth their price, right?”
Moon Chang-sik nodded, probably having had a lot of expensive drinks.
Well, with someone like Moon Chang-sik, he’d have plenty of opportunities to drink.
After that, we arrived at the tent without any special conversations.
The place we arrived at was the same tent where I had practiced acting with Moon Chang-sik before, and its unchanged look felt quite fascinating.
“It hasn’t changed at all, has it?”
It was a location that had been cleared and rented again, but it still looked the same?
Didn’t they move it? I mean, it’s located in a corner...
“Since it was set up by the same person, it would be similar, right?”
...So it wasn’t that they hadn’t moved; they had re-set it up by the same person.
I figured it was probably that manager who did it.
“Ah, then did they steal that giant full-length mirror too?”
“...It’s borrowed.”
I felt regret again for Kang Ha-na.
Once more, the full-length mirror was apparently raided from her.
“Well then, let’s give it a try.”
“Ready.”
As I said I was ready to practice my acting, Moon Chang-sik casually pulled out a prop hammer from his puffer jacket.
Every time I see it, I wonder why he always brings out a weapon from his clothes.
Well, it helps with immersion, so no worries.
“We’ll use a stone instead of a hammer for today’s shoot.”
“...That’s a prop, right?”
“Yes, don’t worry.”
Well, that's good.
If it’s a prop... I’ve taken enough hits from props already that I don’t even flinch.
“Alright, swing away.”
“The back of my head is wide open, so go ahead and hit me.”
With that, the serious practice began.
