Chapter 201
The Villainous Noble Who Kept Rewinding After Death: The Story Somehow Changed When I Committed Suicide
Chapter 194: I Like Bullying
It had been five days since we arrived in the town of Rumaluña. After taking a single day off, we were actively working as adventurers while accepting various requests.
Thanks to that, our names had spread widely throughout the town, and in just five days, there was hardly anyone who didn’t know who we were.
“Hey, look! It’s the Azure Comet!”
“No kidding! They look too beautiful again today!”
As we entered the guild, the familiar faces of our comrades had gathered again, swarming around the request board.
However, the moment they noticed us enter, everyone split to the sides and began to call us by some mysterious alias.
“I’ve gotten quite used to this scene now.”
“Hehe. That’s right. They must want good requests too, but how kind of them to make way for us.”
“There are few high-ranking adventurers in this town. We might actually be helping by processing the higher-ranked requests.”
A few days had passed since we arrived in the town, but since that first day at the guild, whenever other adventurers saw us, they had started yielding the way.
On that first day, after we completed our initial requests and handed over the materials from the defeated monsters and the proof of defeat to the guild, the guild members were incredibly grateful, and the adventurers present looked at us in shock and admiration.
Even though there are adventurers in Rumaluña, none of them hold ranks higher than C. The highest-ranked adventurer in town is just C Rank.
Because of that, B Rank requests would occasionally get handled by the rare high-ranking adventurer passing through, resulting in a consistent imbalance between the number of requests and their completion, leading the guild members to always be troubled.
When they were thinking about whether to request help from other guilds, we appeared, and thanks to us nearly clearing all the B Rank requests they had piled up, they no longer needed to do so.
It was somewhat inevitable that we would become famous and before we knew it, we had begun to be called the Azure Comet.
By the way, the “Azure” comes from my hair color, while “Comet” refers to us, the party that appeared out of nowhere.
“Well, this is one of our goals, so it’s okay to gain fame.”
“That’s right.”
“Since the requests here are running low, it’s almost time to head to the next town…”
“Hey, hey, are you guys the adventurers known as the Azure Comet?”
As we were chatting in low voices just a little before reaching the request board, five men with tattoos on their faces and arms appeared in front of us.
“Who are you guys?”
“Is it you guys? Quite the lofty name you’ve got there?”
“We’re members of the Clan called the Poisonous Snake’s Claw. We came all the way to this town after hearing about you from the neighboring town’s island A Rank clan.”
“We’ve heard stories about you reaching B Rank requests without a single failure, huh?”
“And so, our clan leader has an invitation for you. He wants to recruit you into our clan. Right, Boss?”
“Indeed. The clan leader wishes for you to join us. Let’s go.”
In response to Sharueina’s words, the men with the uniquely cropped hairstyles took turns explaining in detail, but essentially they wanted to recruit us into their clan, the Poisonous Snake’s Claw.
“Hmm. I understood your story well. But I’m not the leader of this party. Unfortunately, I can’t answer you.”
“Then, who is the leader?”
The guy with yellow hair said that while glaring, and Sharueina and the others looked back at me, who was walking at the very back.
“Are you the leader of the Azure Comet?”
With Sharueina and the others looking at me, the Poisonous Snake’s guys also turned to me, glaring all together, though I had no idea what that even meant.
“Ugh. Yeah, I’m the leader of this party. What do you need?”
“What do you need? I just explained everything, didn’t I?!”
“Did you not hear me, you idiot?!”
“I was listening, but I forgot because I didn’t care at all.”
“Are you looking down on me?!”
One of the fiery dudes tried to step towards me, but before he could, Sharueina unsheathed her sword and pressed it against his neck, causing a slight trickle of blood to flow.
“If you move any further, you’ll lose your head, you know?”
“I-Icchi!!”
“It would be best for everyone else to remain still too.”
“If you move any more, I can’t guarantee your lives.”
At that moment, the guy called Icchi’s friends, with similar hairstyles, tried to move to help him, but Iris then bound two of them with water magic, while Miria snuck behind one of the guys and placed a dagger at his throat.
In that tense atmosphere, the leader of the men standing before me didn’t change his expression, just gazing at me intently.
“Are you saying you refuse our invitation?”
“You’re pretty slow on the uptake. By saying I didn’t hear you, you should’ve taken the hint. Or are your ears just for decoration?”
“That choice… You’ll come to regret it.”
“Hehe. Don’t think a nameless clan like you can kill us. If you want, we might even head to the town you guys are based in next. So go ahead, tell me the name of your town.”
“I told you it’s next door, didn’t I? Oh, right, you didn’t hear that! You really should start listening more carefully for your own sake.”
“Thanks for the advice. But hey, which way is next door? Is it right or left? I wouldn’t want to accidentally walk the opposite way and inconvenience you guys waiting for us.”
“…Tch.”
Feeling that continuing the argument was disadvantageous, the man clicked his tongue in annoyance and glared at us without hiding his disgust.
“The town of Carirro is to the right. It’s bigger and more impressive than this town, so you’ll be surprised when you see it.”
“Oh, really? Then maybe we’ll go to that Carirro town next. Once we arrive, where should we ask to find you?”
“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure the knights protecting the town are informed about you. If you show them your guild card at the checkpoint, they’ll guide you to our clan.”
“How generous of you. Then I can just crush your clan when I get there, right?”
“Pfft. We’ll smash you and treat you real nice. Don’t worry, we’ve got plenty of people, so you won’t get bored or have a moment’s rest.”
It’s quite a vulgar conversation, but there are definitely people in this world who see women only as objects of desire, and it seems there are many in this clan as well.
“I see. Then I’ll make sure you can never do that again, so you’d better look forward to it. Everyone.”
When I called out that, Iris released the spell, and Sharueina and Miria also lowered their weapons.
“There you go. Back to your master, you good-for-nothing dogs.”
“What a truly arrogant girl. I wonder how long you’ll keep it up. Let’s go, guys.”
As the leader said that and began to take his subordinates out of the guild, I called out to him once more to stop him.
“Wait up.”
“What is it?”
“I got that the town of Carirro is to the right, but which gate should I exit from, the north or the south gate?”
“The north gate!! You bastard!!”
The final jab I gave seemed to hit home, as the man spat out his anger without hiding it as he stormed out of the guild with a rough attitude.
“Hehe. Bullying people is fun.”
“Luna. You’re making a pretty bad face right now, you know?”
“Am I?”
“Yes. But it’s very charming.”
“So, Luna, are we heading to that town where they are?”
“That’s the plan. We’ve achieved almost all our goals in this town, and there’s a possibility that this clan is connected to our ultimate target. It might be nice to extract some info while taking them down.”
“We’ll follow your lead.”
“Yes. Luna is the leader after all.”
“I’ll follow you anywhere.”
It seems Iris and the others had no objections and showed their willingness to follow my lead right away.
“Well then, for now, let’s just take on requests as usual today.”
Saying that, I wrapped up this conversation and picked up a random request while being watched by the other adventurers, who had become completely invisible in the atmosphere.
