Chapter 199
The Villainous Noble Who Kept Rewinding After Death: The Story Somehow Changed When I Committed Suicide
Chapter 192: Rumalunya
After leaving the imperial capital, we ran for half a day to warm up and quickly found ourselves in a small town called Rumalunya, located between the capital and the Valentine Duchy.
“Haah, haah… I’m s-sorry…”
“Lily, here’s some water. Please drink.”
“Thank you, Mize!”
Iris, who has the least stamina among us, received the water from Miria, panting heavily as she gulped it down.
As I watched the two of them, Sharueina, looking completely unfazed and not tired at all, spoke up.
“So, Luna. Are we going to be active here from now on?”
“Yep. First, we’ll spread our names here, then we’ll circle around the duchy.”
“Got it. Shall we head to the guild right away?”
“No, today we should find an inn and rest since Lily needs it. We’ll start moving for real tomorrow.”
“I’m sorry.”
Iris, feeling burdensome, apologized weakly, but I reassured her not to worry and we entered the town.
“Honestly, we weren’t planning to go to the guild right after arriving.”
“Is that so?”
“Yeah. The sun is already dipping, and there’s nothing to do even if we go now. Plus, if we went to the guild and then looked for an inn afterward, in a small town like this, we might end up without a place to sleep. Actually, there’s a chance there could already be none left.”
“So, does that mean we’ll be camping outside tonight?”
Sharueina said this with an oddly cheerful tone, almost as if she was looking forward to camping and her eyes sparkled.
“I don’t know what you’re expecting, but if there’s no inn, then that might be the case. But don’t worry too much about it. With my magic, I can prepare a better sleeping place than an inn.”
“Is that really okay? I imagined something more like… setting up tents together, rotating watches, cooking over a campfire and stuff.”
It seems that the reason Sharueina was so excited was the notion that she might be able to camp for the first time—considering her noble background, she surely never experienced sleeping outside, so I could somewhat understand her anticipation.
“Well, if Narche is fine with that, it’ll happen eventually. But first, let’s search for an inn to stay at. We won’t find a place by just hanging around here.”
“Right.”
With Sharueina’s agreement, Iris and the others nodded along, and we started asking the townsfolk for directions to an inn.
“Phew. I’m glad we found somewhere to stay.”
“Good job, Luna-san.”
“Thanks, Mize.”
After entering Rumalunya, we inquired at three different inns before finally securing a room at the last one.
Perhaps due to the town’s small size, there were only three inns, including this one.
However, being located between the Valentine Duchy and the capital, many travelers passed through, leaving all the inns fully booked.
It was at that last inn we checked where a room had just opened up, and without hesitation, we decided to rent a room there.
Unfortunately, we ended up with two twin rooms instead of a triple and a single room as we had hoped, but it was the only option available, so we settled for it.
As a result, I ended up sharing a room with Miria, while Iris stayed in the same room as Sharueina, separating us.
“Luna-san. When do you plan to head to the guild tomorrow?”
“Considering we’ll need to find a suitable request, I’d like to leave early.”
“Understood. Then I’ll explain it to Lily and the others so we can act at sunrise.”
“Thanks.”
I left the explanation to Miria and lay down on the bed, using my presence detection magic to check our surroundings just in case.
“Looks like there aren’t any problems.”
Since we had just arrived, it made sense, but there was no one watching us with hostility, and the atmosphere felt very peaceful.
“Guess I’ll take a little rest until dinner time.”
Luckily, this inn provided meals in the morning and evening, so we didn’t need to prepare anything ourselves, allowing us to relax until then.
By the way, even after entering the inn, we were still using false names and disguise magic to hide our identities.
The reason was simple: to get used to these names and appearances quickly and to avoid being discovered in case someone was watching us.
After that, I dozed off until Miria woke me up for dinner, and after cleaning up with magic, I fell asleep for the second time that day.
The next early morning, we woke up with the sunrise as planned and left the inn, heading towards the Adventurers’ Guild in Rumalunya.
“So, this is the guild in this town?”
“It’s smaller than the one in the capital.”
“Well, that’s to be expected. The town isn’t that big, so naturally, the guild would be smaller. Most towns are about this size.”
Iris and the others, who had only been to the Adventurers’ Guild in the capital, were a little surprised to see the guild that looked only slightly bigger than a regular house.
However, having traveled around for about six months, I had seen even more run-down guilds than this and small ones run by families, so this guild didn’t particularly impress me.
“Alright, let’s go in.”
“Okay.”
And so, we stepped into the Rumalunya Adventurers’ Guild.
The guild was bustling with familiar faces, just like any other day, as adventurers congregated to take requests, and the board for requests was crowded with adventurers.
In that moment, as the guild door slowly opened, the gazes of adventurers naturally gathered towards one spot, as if pulled by something mysterious.
Soft footsteps echoed slowly.
The lightness of the steps hinted that it was a woman entering.
“It’s really lively in here.”
“There are more adventurers than I expected.”
“Wow, so this is the guild for this town.”
Three beautiful girls entered through the door: one small girl with light brown hair and lovely green eyes like fresh leaves, her figure surprisingly well-endowed for her size, igniting a protective instinct just by looking at her.
The second was a slender woman with black hair and blue eyes, older perhaps than the first girl, her mature beauty kept her modest chest alluring, captivating everyone with her cool look.
And the third girl, with distinctive gray hair and pale yellow eyes, seemed fascinated by the guild’s interior, eagerly looking around as if it was her first time inside.
While her body was more curvaceous than the other two, enticing the more aggressive desires of men, the moment my gaze fell on the fourth girl who entered a little later, those illicit thoughts vanished.
“Hmm, for the size of the town, there sure are a lot of people.”
Walking in slowly, her beauty was otherworldly, her flowing dark blue hair was captivating like ultramarine, and her blue eyes visible beyond long lashes seemed like enchanted blue butterflies inviting dreams.
She could easily be mistaken for a goddess, but there was an air of languidness about her, radiating a fragile charm that inexplicably invoked a sense of guilt just by watching.
“G-Goddess?”
“Too beautiful.”
The men in the guild were utterly mesmerized by their otherworldly beauty, left speechless as they could only watch in awe.
As the girls approached the request board, the adventurers, swept up in their aura, instinctively parted to clear a path for them.
