The academy tour led by Lime began, filled with her personal experiences and interests as usual.

“This is the classroom where magical research classes are held! Inside, there are dangerous magical tools and valuable research materials stored, so you must NOT enter casually!”

Seeing the students’ reactions, Lime hugged herself dramatically, shaking as if reliving a traumatic experience.

“Well, if you don’t enter on your own, you won’t get scolded. Besides, the door is magically locked, so only the teacher can open it. Now! Shall we head to the next place?”

The tour continued with Lime’s personal anecdotes, using the entire morning to check out important locations around the academy.

“This academy is really too big!”

After the tour ended, it was lunchtime as planned. We were eating lunch in a small garden located within the academy grounds, a privilege reserved for S-class students.

“Right? There are so many classrooms and facilities, but are they all really necessary?”

Fiera and Shuvina seemed a bit tired from walking around and were eating lunch at a slower pace than usual.

“Miria, this meat is delicious. The seasoning is just right!”

“Thank you!”

Not caring about the two of them, I enjoyed the meat dish Miria prepared. The seasoning wasn’t too strong, and the tenderness was just to my taste—it was tasty.

“Accompanying Mother on her shopping is way more tiring. This level of walking is no problem at all.”

While Fiera didn’t seem to mind much, women typically take a long time shopping, and Mother was no different.

Having accompanied Mother on her shopping trips since I was little, this level of movement was nothing for me.

Fiera and Shuvina seemed to understand, nodding in agreement before continuing to eat.

“By the way, about the welcome party next holiday…”

“What about you, El?”

After finishing our meal and sipping on some post-lunch tea, the two of them curiously asked whom I would escort to the welcome party, looking serious.

“This time, I plan to go with Iris as my fiancée.”

“Of course.”

It seemed like Fiera and the others had predicted my answer. They didn’t show too much disappointment, but there was still a hint of frustration as they clenched their fists tightly.

“Is it because she’s your fiancée? Or is it just that you want to go with Iris?”

Though the two were clearly curious about what I wanted to confirm, I had no intention of discussing it further. I stood up and left the rest to Miria, heading back to the classroom.

Back in the classroom, I enjoyed a post-lunch nap before glancing at the paper Lime had distributed regarding class selections.

“Okay, everyone, thank you for your hard work this morning! What did you all have for lunch? I was really looking forward to having sashimi, but it was sold out, so I couldn’t have any—what a bummer. But the curry was super delicious, so you should all try it next time!

Now, in the afternoon, we’ll go ahead and choose your classes!

The paper in front of you lists the subjects available for first-year students.

The right column shows elective subjects, and the left is for compulsory subjects. Compulsory subjects are scheduled on different days and times, so you just need to choose one of them to attend. So they shouldn’t overlap much with the elective subjects.

Once Lime finished her explanation, the other students started looking over the paper they received, seriously contemplating what to take.

“What about you, El?”

While I was trying to select compulsory subjects to ensure a series of breaks, Fiera, who seemed troubled, spoke up.

“I’m only taking compulsory subjects. I’m not taking anything else.”

“Why not?”

“Simply because I don’t need to. Honestly, there’s not much for me to learn at this academy. So, I’ll just take the minimum classes required and focus on my activities as an adventurer.”

“No, you should take the classes you want to. Fiera, you’re trying to match too much with me. That way, you won’t be able to do anything on your own when it really matters.”

I’ve often thought about how Fiera’s dependency on me was quite extreme.

“And Shuvina, don’t just follow what me and Fiera want; take the subjects that interest you.”

“Understood.”

The two of them grew serious as they each selected their classes, and after about 30 minutes, class selection concluded.

“Alright, I’ll compile the class schedules from everyone’s selections! I think I can hand them out the day after tomorrow. And the classes will start next week, so everyone, make sure not to be late on the first day! That’s all for today! You can spend the rest of your time freely, so let’s meet again tomorrow~”

As Lime left the classroom, the students began talking with others they’d gotten close to or exploring the academy.

“El, are you heading home?”

Just as I was contemplating whether to head home since I had no plans, Iris and Sonia approached.

“Iris? What’s up?”

“Come on, you can do it, Iris!”

“About the welcome party next holiday…”

“I see.”

I didn’t understand what was so exciting for her, but Iris’s cheeks and ears turned a bit red as she turned to look at Sonia, and they oddly shared joy.

“Oh, right, Lewis. I have a favor to ask.”

“What is it?”

Once Iris calmed down, Sonia looked at me and spoke up.

“I want you to take me to the Adventurers’ Guild in the Imperial Capital sometime.”

“Huh? You should ask Fiera and the others.”

“That was my initial plan, but if it’s just girls going to the guild, we might get bothered by guys, and that would be troublesome. Besides, as you can see, Fiera and the others are way too cute. The last time we went out together, we were hit on the whole time!”

“So, you want me to be your wall?”

“Sure, I got it.”

“Sounds good.”

So, we suddenly decided to go to the Adventurers’ Guild with Sonia on a day that matched our schedules, but other than that, it was pretty uneventful. I lightly discussed the welcome party with Iris before returning to the dorm.
