Chapter 106

It’s been a while since I’ve done a broadcast, so I thought about trying something special, but that requires some preparation.

In my busy daily life, I didn’t have anything ready for the broadcast.

But that’s okay.

Even if I’m unprepared, my viewers have done their homework.

I thought, “Let’s just play a game,” and checked the game recommendation thread on my fan cafe.

[EOW?]

[Challenger 1st place, let’s go?]

[Emus are trash!]

“Nothing’s really appealing today.”

I’m confident that my core viewers are EOW players, and I’m now seeing new players joining thanks to my commentary.

Beautiful Challenger ranked 15th, playing like an eSports announcer.

Most of the newcomers are familiar with my gameplay through YouTube clips.

They’ve expressed their desire to see my gameplay live, but to be honest, I’m tired of EOW after covering it for days.

Watching high-level players can spark your hidden gamer instincts, making you want to play more, they say.

But that doesn’t apply to me. Maybe I’m just too good for that.

Anyway, EOW is automatically out of today’s game.

I selected three games from the fan cafe recommendations and spun the roulette fair and square.

“Looks like this one.”

The game that won by roulette was familiar to me.

I hadn’t played it myself but had seen others playing it while passing by the Switch a few times.

Escape. A survival game literally about escaping.

What do you escape from? You have to escape from the clutches of a murderer.

If you wake up in a place you’ve never seen before and manage to escape without getting caught by the killer, the fugitive wins.

If the murderer manages to catch the fugitive again or kills them to prevent escape, the murderer wins, making the rules quite simple.

[Ahahaha, this is going to be so fun already.]

[I was scared it might be something else.]

[Why the hell is “Survive Jurassic Dinosaurs?” the most recommended?]

[Maybe they just feel sorry for the consistently bad players. LOL]

[At this point, do it once.]

[With how few broadcasts I’ve had lately, every game is precious, though.]

[Huff.]

[This game suits Mollru perfectly.]

[For real, it’s made for the broadcast host.]

When viewers say this game suits me, are they implying I’m more fit to be a fugitive or a murderer?

Survivors and murderers can choose which role to play before the game starts.

So, if you ask me which side I prefer, well…

I’m confident in both.

*

“Let’s knock over the planks here… and do a little zigzagging. I don’t think rescuing anyone is going to happen. I got caught too quickly.”

I tsk-tsked at the sight of my comrade who got caught again while trying to escape together.

I had even tried to attract some attention, but in the end, they got caught.

Well, they should have run better.

[This person is just good at the game.]

[For real, they’re a gamer. LOL]

[You said this was your first time, right?]

[Oh, Toto is so delicious.]

[Hey, has the jinx woken up? Hey, has the jinx woken up? Hey, has the jinx woken up?]

[Are you worried about losing this round? LOL. Is Mollru easy? Does Mollru’s hand, eyes, brain, face, and chest look like they scream “I’m so good?”]

[Why the chest?]

[The chest is part of the physical attributes, you know.]

[At this point, nothing surprises me anymore.]

[My 1,000,000 points… My memories… The times spent with Mollru…]

I found there’s a function called Toto.

Much like sports betting, it involves picking specific themes with at least two options to bet on for competition.

Of course, it’s not real money. The common currency people usually bet on in my stream is just the channel points accumulated by watching me.

They’ve been yelling “Toto, Toto” so much that I decided to open it up for them, and now they’re having fun with it.

Honestly, it’s kind of cute. What’s so special about meaningless channel points that they enjoy it so much?

In other streams, with millions or even tens of millions of points, the streamer holds special events just for that, so maybe I should prepare something like that too.

“Oops.”

I slipped into a random thought for a moment, and my hand slipped.

I was supposed to press ← but accidentally pressed → instead.

Crack-

I got hit by the killer’s blind hammer, and my character’s head exploded.

Ouch… that was a bit brutal. Can I stream this?

[Surprisingly 18+, the staging is pretty intense.]

[Aaaah!]

[No, what the hell is this?]

[My points, dammit!]

[Is this a joke? Don’t be fake with me.]

[Hey, are you awake yet? Hey, are you awake yet? Hey, are you awake yet?]

[Lol, if I win this round, it’ll be six wins in a row. I guess it’s time to lose.]

[Even monkeys slip from trees sometimes.]

[Are you saying the teacher is a monkey?]

[We are cousins in the primate family, right?]

[This is insane.]

[Please allocate the points right away. ^^]

The last surviving team member is me alone.

With my death, the game ended in defeat, and the channel points bet on the loss would accumulate.

“I’ll process the points, just give me a moment…”

97% of the bets were on victory. Only 3% bet on defeat.

What on earth is the payout rate? I remembered my friend’s words: “Life changes with a single bet.”

That guy borrowed money from me and never paid it back. He said he’d repay it with winnings but then ghosted me.

“I’m getting tired of the same thing.”

Having grasped the controls and skills of both the fugitive and the murderer, I wanted something more advanced.

Honestly, these mafia-like, one-vs-many survival games are a lot more fun when played with people you know rather than solo.

Now that I shed my newbie skin, I want to play with someone.

“Is there anyone up for Escape?”

When I hinted towards that, viewers started digging for info like cuckoo birds.

[Ryuah is currently watching content.]

[Tex is doing an EOW placement match.]

[Daesik is collaborating with Flare Crew.]

[? When did Daesik get close to Flare?]

[Seems like they got close since Mollru invited him to Minecraft.]

[Shivering in fear towards Mollru, yet doing fine with them.]

[For Daesik, Mollru is just a stepping stone.]

[Did the host get engulfed by the Flare Crew?]

[Whoa.]

[Mollru… this could be a rarity.]

[Looks like someone from the new city would slap back with their looks.]

[What does “flop” mean? Stop it already.]

[Are you suspiciously angry?]

[???: Don’t marry, I said don’t!]

[The host feels a bit pressured, as they’re just too perfect.]

[Sua is taking a break, Papi is taking a break, Cheolwoo is streaming at night.]

[Doesn’t seem like anyone is available?]

Coincidentally, most of the streamers I know have no schedules.

Such diligent people, indeed.

In fact, collaborations usually involve prior discussions. While sudden invitations aren’t entirely uncommon, it’s still a business at the end of the day.

“Is there no one?”

The conclusion: there’s nobody to enjoy the game with right now.

I wasn’t inclined to queue solo, so I considered ending the game to play something else or dive into grinding.

[How about viewer participation?]

[Oh, viewer participation!]

[50,000 people in the participation game? LOL, what competition!]

[50000:4 competition rate, wow.]

Viewer participation. That’s where viewers can play with me in real-time.

I’ll randomly select people from the viewers here who’d like to play Escape with me.

In Escape, there’s one killer and 4-5 survivors.

So, I decided on 5 players to create a more fun atmosphere rather than the 50,000:4 ratio.

The more survivors there are, the lower the murderer’s chances of winning, but I can just solve that by being the murderer myself.

“Let’s do viewer participation then. I’ll select 5 who want to be survivors and be the killer.”

[Wow, Mollru as the murderer?]

[You can’t stop this…]

[If it’s going to be fun, let the experienced players apply. Get it? LOL]

[Daesik’s suspicious club!
