Chapter 653

Did it end safely with the rescue of Pasible Yep? Sing, who returned last from their outing, spoke.

“I succeeded in rescuing Pasible Yup. According to them, the Executive Meeting of the Foundation has been moved up. It’s set for this Friday at 3 PM.”

“Wow! It’s finally happening!”

“Were you waiting for the executive meeting?”

“Since ages ago!”

“…Hearing such words from you, it’s frightening in a different sense this time.”

“Huh? What do you mean by frightening in a different sense?”

“……I cannot say.”

Seeing Sing trembling this much must mean they were really scared. What could be so terrifying?

“Are you going to attend the executive meeting?”

“…No?”

“Thank goodness. You shouldn’t recklessly step into such a dangerous place. And…”

“Yes?”

“No. It’s nothing.”

With a face like they had much to say but held back, Sing turned away.

‘What is it?’

“I somehow think I know,” Alice, wearing a hat, said in a slightly excited voice, different from usual.

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I’ve never felt as good about learning the step-by-step X-ray magic as I do now.”

“What? I want to see too! Why are you hiding something good from me?”

“Not happening. You’ll get scolded if you see things like that.”

“I’m not a kid!”

“Yeah, you are.”

Seeing the back and forth fight with the hat-wearing senior, Ishtar sighed, looking like it was starting again while picking up a twig.

“Your master is such a fool; you’re suffering a lot.”

Goo.

Howling Mandragora nodded with a face that really seemed to agree, stretching out its small roots.

Kang Kang Kang.

The Warrior was diligently training their Swordsmanship with the twig, which they swung around casually while deriving mana at night before bed.

Ishtar should consider themselves lucky.

By doing nice things for our little one, they get to slack off, but if it weren’t for the little one, they would’ve been in trouble!

While waiting for the executive meeting, during the schedule at the academy, another free lecture time rolled around this week.

━━━

[Emergency Response Strategy for False Alerts]

-Wednesday 2nd period 11 AM – 1 PM

-Professor: Robert Elahim

-Administration Department, General Studies

━━━

Mid-tier players would probably scream and demand to stop the trickery, wondering how this emergency response lecture could be free!

But for someone experienced like me, it truly was a score, thus I called it free.

I already knew which alerts would trigger which disasters, the causes behind them, and how to respond, to put it bluntly, all I had to do was prepare and I’d rack up experience points and credit!

“You’d better brace yourselves for this week’s lecture.”

Even though the professor kicked off the class like a villain planning to kill all the students, I was only thinking about how much experience I’d gain! It wouldn’t be easy for Ishtar, who was attending alone, nor for the empire noble factions like Andersen’s Seoguyeon faction or Honor Fried Chicken!

“Oknodie… if you’re okay, how about collaborating for today’s lecture?”

“I’m certain our noble faction can offer more assistance than Seoguyeon’s!”

“Oknodie, we have a bond from the Adventure Department.”

Andersen, Honor Fried Chicken, Ishtar.

Nobles of Class 981, who wouldn’t back down on pride, were feverishly wandering close like a cat meowing at their feet.

“How much were you thinking to offer?”

“…”

The winner at the auction turned out to be Honor Fried Chicken.

[Honor Fried Chicken has sent 10,000 points.]

In a class where students could potentially die for real, Honor Fried Chicken, scared out of their wits, willingly splashed out the cash.

Compared to the sponsorships Titosso received from global powers, it was but a drop in the bucket, but sometimes you want to save up extra points to buy junk food, don’t you?

“Ugh, that was far too little. I’ll take this as a pocket money win and let it slide!”

Was it because they were frustrated from narrowly escaping the attack of the 7th-level overlord monster, Vermontros?

This time, Professor Robert Elahim brought a disaster coming from the skies.

Kuhgung… Kugugugugu.

Hearing a missile sound in the distance, the students who were blankly staring, not having an idea about the monster, witnessed a pillar of fire erupting in the distance.

“Is it a fire monster?!”

“No, it’s… bombing!!”

“How did you discern that from this distance?!”

At the exclamation from a noble of Seoguyeon, the other students were startled by their insight.

“Duke Andersen is bound to find an absurdly awesome lecture next year when he goes to observe the lecture Flying a Non-fair Flight in the upperclassman classroom!”

“Crazy!”

“You’re absolutely joking about observing such a dreadful thing!”

“Are you okay?!”

“Did you get affected by the professor’s mind control magic to want to attend the lecture?!”

“We should slap them first. They might return to their senses!”

Faced with their friends’ intense concerns, the student felt threatened and took a step back.

“Don’t be stupid! I’m perfectly fine. Duke Andersen also went to observe the lecture, so why am I the only one being mind-controlled?!”

“Because Duke is so strong, it feels like we’d fall, bleeding from a slap…”

“How dare you use violence selectively according to the person?! You cowardly scumbags!”

Even though the student yelled, as the second fire column appeared even closer, they spoke seriously.

“Anyway, the professor warned us about bombs capable of turning the ground into a sea of fire, and that this disaster occurs in the guise of Airodilon seems true. This isn’t another false alarm!”

Weekly on Wednesday is the Emergency Response Strategy for False Alerts lecture.

It would not be surprising if sometimes the alerts were faulty and resulted in a more relaxed lecture time, but Professor Robert Elahim seemed to want rapid growth in his students, bringing a new strong disaster every session.

Thanks to Duke Andersen, Seoguyeon figured out the coming disaster in advance and was in chaos to build fire and explosion resistance.

“What should we do?!”

“Just stay still! I’ll take care of it!”

I was more specifically aware of the identity of the impending threat.

━━━

Airodilon

Classification: Air Dominator, Grand Magician, 7th Level

Features: Moving Mana Disaster, Similar Non-fair Flight

Ability: Thanks to unlimited mana supplied by mana disaster, it bombards all beings in its path with a steady stream of cannon fire.

Description: Airodilon obtained perpetual motion after running an out-of-control experiment of a Grand Magician who sought it. The problem lies in the fact that this non-fair flight seeks out other Grand Magicians to acquire new Non-fair Flight Gear.

━━━

A looming threat from the sky.

If defensive magic exceeds a certain point, it risks becoming a target of Grand Magician Collecting which the rampaging non-fair flight Airodilon specializes in.

Instead of flapping the wings upwards or wrapping oneself in barriers, the proper solution is to dodge it with your body.

‘Or there’s another method!’

The second one is a much more amusing solution.

By showing a lavish Grand Magic to the non-fair flight trailing behind the Grand Magic Response, and sending it off to another dimensional realm.

If you know how to summon a Dimensional Gate, it’s an easy fix.

There are also wonderful meta applications.

Using dimensional realms from clearing an event of breaking 100 dimensions in a row and tossing Airodilon into those dimensions, continuously opening dimensional gates!

‘It’s about time I throw the first punch!’

After I send Principal Omoshiroi away, I should think about waging dimensional war; it’s best to prepare preventive warfare early!

In that sense, I unleashed the first dimensional gate creation magic during class.

“Ha!”

Jiiiiing!

Noticing the largely opened dimensional gate, the rampaging non-fair flight Airodilon sensed the overwhelming Grand Magic response from another dimension and sprinted in glee.

Whoosh… Bam!

As it rushed over, exceeding the maximum size permissible by the gate, the portal’s edges cracked, and it shook unsteadily.

Not properly performing the standard solution of creating a giant dimensional gate meant it probably wouldn’t work unless you had a body that didn’t take the all-intelligent magician route.

Because of this, the dimensional gate was torn, its spatial connection got shaky and there were minor issues where those trying to use the gate got ripped apart or sent to dangerous coordinates, but why should I care when I’m not the one crossing over?

“Alright, we survived!”

“I-I survived…”

Students, shaken by Airodilon’s might merely rushing over their heads, collapsed in awe.

Amidst them, the brains of the Three Great Meritorious Families, the cold and composed glasses-wearer, Cheddar Potato Pizza, cautiously opened her mouth, showcasing her keen intellect.

“If we intended to open a dimensional gate to survive this class anyway, Oknodie might have handled it without the need for us to pay points. Didn’t we just give away points we didn’t even need?”

“…I have no idea!”

The noble faction students raised a commotion from afar, matching the exasperated expression of Professor Robert Elahim, hitting the ground with their fists in frustration.

Having crossed dimensions into the Fire Spirit Realm, Airodilon.

Following the standard route, the non-fair flight was supposed to strike the major facilities of the Fire Spirit Realm to stop the rising temperature of the continent. But thanks to a minor oversight ignored by Oknodie, the coordinates had been misaligned, and it crash-landed in an unexpected location.

That location happened to be the territory of the Supreme Fire Spirit, where the butlers of the first department of the Foundation risked their lives to conduct a sweep operation and take control…

“Ugh. This is so humiliating. Being defeated by mere humans and facing the situation of offering sacrifices to them alongside my lord.”

“Don’t cry; just hang in there for a century. Humans have short lifespans, and in a hundred years, they will all perish, causing the contract to become void!”

Captured by the Butler of the Foundation, the supreme fire spirit.

If the lord perishes, the fire spirits relying on that territory will vanish in an instant, fading into reclusive spirits.

If powerful lords find the unaligned spirits, it’s only reasonable that they would rush to gather all the collars, sacrifices, and the spirits themselves to use as offerings.

To survive, we must save our lord.

In the midst of accepting the inevitable to send the spirits’ mana trapped inside the magical devices, suddenly…

Vroom! Boom!

In a space wrecked, the spirits cleaning up the territory found a gigantic rampaging non-fair flight appear.

“Huh?”

“Whoaa…?”

The detection devices of the rampaging non-fair flight Airodilon scanned the astonished spirits.

[Detection of mana reactions is complete.]

[Entity name – Superior Fire Spirit]

[Analysis Result – Small Engine]

[Detection of mana reactions is complete.]

[Entity name – Lump of Sacrificial Mana]

[Analysis Result – Fuel]

It wouldn’t take long for the entities needing sacrifices that were under the Butler of the Foundation and the supreme fire spirit’s mana to take a nosedive into the trap of the crash-landed non-fair flight.
