Chapter 49
“Don’t guard another girl in front of me.”
Vivian warned.
“You’re my prisoner. As a consequence of the war I lost, you have to be my knight. Don’t you dare try to stop my actions.”
“…Enough already.”
Vivian let out a snort.
For the moment, she had no room to accept Kyle’s words.
“I’ll be reasonable. So let go.”
– Thwack!
She slapped away Kyle’s hand.
Vivian looked at Lani, who was shocked, holding her cheek.
“Lani Dubos.”
As she called Lani’s name, frightened eyes fell upon Vivian.
Vivian felt satisfied. If she could instill fear in one go, this wouldn’t happen again.
“…I thought you came to be friends here… but it seems you came to find a partner?”
Lani looked flustered.
“N-no… I…”
But Vivian had no intention of calming her anger.
“If you’re looking for a partner, go find some boy soldiers to mess with… How dare you get involved with Kyle Allen?”
“V-Vivian!”
With fierce anger, Vivian scolded.
“How dare you… whisper of love with the son of the man who killed our father and brother?”
Lani couldn’t even respond properly to Vivian’s fury.
She instantly knelt and just kept begging.
“I’m sorry…! I’m sorry! Vivian, I must have gone crazy… I just… for a moment…!”
– Thud.
Kyle grimly pulled Lani up by her arm.
Vivian felt her anger rising again, but this time she couldn’t let it show.
Kyle Allen’s eyes were speaking to her.
He truly stood at the end of his patience.
Don’t cross the line.
Vivian waited for Kyle’s response.
He stood Lani up and brushed some mud off her knees.
Then he approached Vivian, leaning down to whisper to her.
“…We didn’t do anything.”
“…You…”
“I pushed her away.”
“…”
At Kyle’s confession, Vivian felt a piece of her tremendous rage melt away in an instant.
She blinked as she looked at Kyle.
He continued.
“The thing you’re worried about… I haven’t found happiness. I experienced enough with Serena last time. Just like you said, I’ve been far from happiness. So… let it go.”
“…”
Vivian glanced at Kyle from the corner of her eye.
There wasn’t a hint of falsehood in his gaze.
She had already calmed down a great deal, but it was difficult to accept that the two of them had continued to meet, and that she had foolishly endured it all without knowing.
Squeezing the last residue of her anger, Vivian spoke to Lani.
“Lani Dubos.”
“…Y-yes….”
“About this matter… I will decide tomorrow. Whether to treat it as a one-time mistake and forgive you, or to impose a proper punishment… I’ll decide tomorrow.”
“…Hic…Y-yes…”
“…Get lost. Disappear from my sight.”
Lani immediately fled at Vivian’s words.
Kyle’s eyes, watching Lani leave, held deep sympathy.
“What are you looking at?”
Vivian had no intention of allowing even that.
Kyle’s dark eyes turned to Vivian.
Their bodies were quite close.
Even though they were in an oddly revealing situation, they didn’t pull away.
Drops of water falling from Kyle’s hair landed on Vivian’s forehead.
In the cold weather, Kyle radiated warmth like a campfire.
It was tempting, enough to want to throw caution to the wind and embrace him.
Once Lani left, Vivian felt another new extreme emotion welling up inside her.
Before she knew it, her hand was placed on Kyle’s chest.
– Swish.
“…Vivian.”
It was the spot where Lani had touched earlier.
As Kyle treated it as his possession, he felt no hesitation.
“Was it good?”
Vivian asked with a laugh.
Slowly trailing her fingers down to his rugged abs.
“Did Lani Dubos touching you feel good? Did you get excited?”
“…”
Not understanding why she was behaving this way, she simply acted on her whims.
The sensation at her fingertips was addicting.
For a moment, biting her lip, Vivian looked up at him again and spoke.
“You pretended to be strong, but seeing you shaken by something like this just makes you a mere beast. Just a savage, huh?”
Vivian continued to mock him. In order to relieve the fiery anger inside, she needed at least this much.
Kyle sighed and quietly said.
“I told you to stop.”
“Stop what? Am I wrong? If I left you and Lani alone a bit longer, you would’ve headed to the stables. About to behave disgustingly on my land.”
While speaking, Vivian felt even more anger at her own words.
Feeling the possibility of insults she spilled for the sake of pressuring him, she realized the situation had been intensely dizzying.
In her anger, Vivian spoke.
“…Are you perhaps a monkey? Now that you’re 16, you’re trying every girl you can find.”
Kyle slowly lifted his head. His gaze never left Vivian, tightly clenched.
Yet, Vivian continued.
“Disgusting. Vulgar… Kyle. Please, for the love of all that’s holy… don’t do that dirty stuff in front of me.”
Vivian chewed her lips, pouring out her emotions.
“…I want to kill them all.”
Vivian turned on her heel and walked away.
She felt the strength leaving her body.
As she let go of her tension, it felt like she could collapse onto the floor at any moment.
At the moment she turned away, the pent-up frustration began to erupt.
She couldn’t understand why she felt this way; tears threatened to spill over.
She wasn’t sure what was upsetting and suffocating her to this extent.
Perhaps because meeting after five days had turned out like this, or feeling betrayed that Kyle had secretly met Lani, or perhaps because of the hurtful things she said to him.
– Thud!
“Gah!”
But at that moment, something grabbed her as she walked away.
“Disgusting. Vulgar. Kyle, please, for the love of all that’s holy… don’t do that dirty stuff in front of me. I want to kill them all.”
At Vivian’s words, something inside me felt like it had broken.
What did I do wrong?
How hard had I tried to push away Lani? Did I have to hear this crap?
Was it really necessary to meet Vivian after five days like this?
And the idea that I was being seen as a monster driven by lust only made me feel more wronged.
I had no intention of just taking it lying down.
If they saw me as a monster driven by lust and wouldn’t even listen to my explanations… then I didn’t have to bear it any longer.
I watched Vivian’s retreating figure.
The thin nightgown clung to her body.
Her transformation was striking.
Giving up, I felt an uncontrollable surge of heat inside me.
Having not seen her for a long time only intensified my feelings.
And the longer I saw her, the harder it was to resist the impulse.
It felt like the instincts I had suppressed exploded free, sending my heart racing wildly.
Whether I liked it or not, the blood was rushing to my lower body.
My ears buzzed with anger and excitement.
I followed Vivian as she slipped away.
– Thud!
Without hesitation, I pulled her in for a hug.
I wrapped my left arm around her waist and held her shoulder with my right hand.
She was warmer and softer in my arms than I had expected.
“Gah!”
I heard Vivian gasp in surprise.
But I held her tight, not letting her catch her breath.
I shoved her deep into my embrace.
My pelvis was pressed firmly against her butt.
Feeling disgusted without a reason was frustrating.
Responsibility without pleasure was ridiculous.
If it was going to be like this, I would take care of my own pleasure.
As much as I was angry at her, I acted all the more shamelessly.
“Go ahead and kill me.”
I whispered fiercely in her ear.
“You said you’d kill me if I did something dirty, so go ahead.”
Vivian froze, unable to speak.
Her stillness was oddly comforting.
From the moment her soft body entered my embrace, all my restraint vanished.
I began to tease her.
I pinched her stomach lightly.
I slowly brought my right hand to her chest.
I buried my face in her neck, inhaling her scent.
Then I nibbled on her neck lightly.
I bit down harder than I intended, wishing for her to feel as much pain as the turmoil inside me.
If she screamed and shed tears because of me, it would somehow make me feel better.
But of course, I couldn’t go that far.
Being cautious not to harm her, I fought against the urge to bite harder.
“Ugh…!”
She flinched as she began to struggle.
That resistance only provoked me even more.
She tried to escape, but couldn’t. It felt like I had fully dominated her.
My hidden sadism seemed to be rising to the surface.
But as my emotions calmed down and satisfaction began to swell up, I released her.
At that moment, she broke free from my arms and pushed me away.
I didn’t resist and sat down on the floor.
“Hah…! Hah…!”
Vivian looked back at me in disbelief.
Holding her bite-mark on her neck, she was breathing heavily.
Not even a trace of the anger she had before could be found.
Instead, her face was filled with confusion.
Even in this darkness, her face was flushed, red like her hair.
That sight strangely made me smile.
“This is what desire feels like.”
I said with a grin.
“…Hah…! Hah…!”
“…Do you understand?”
Vivian couldn’t even answer; she turned and bolted away.
It was amusing to see her drop the strong facade and run away.
She had acted like she would eat me alive, yet after a single embrace, she ran off blushing like a rose. It was too funny.
It was a side of her that I hadn’t seen in a long time.
– Howl…
I sat in the rain quietly.
For a moment, I found Vivian’s reaction amusing.
…After she left, annoyance and anger settled a bit… a shallow regret began to rise.
Had I given Vivian an irreparable wound?
How was I going to look her in the face from now on?
My worries were more than I could bear.
“…Hah…”
I sighed and buried my face in my hands.
Then I lay back, letting the rain wash over me for a while.
****
“Hah…! Hah….!”
Even after entering the room, Vivian couldn’t calm down.
She got into bed, still wet, wrapping the blanket tightly around her head.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Her heart was racing.
She was out of breath.
The trembling was relentless, as if her heart would jump out of her throat.
What this emotion was, she couldn’t express at all.
She felt confused.
She felt flustered.
And on top of that, an inexplicable feeling settled within her, making her even more disturbed.
The desire that she had found disgusting and filthy.
When it was brought up by Lady Linne, it only felt awkward.
But that repulsive desire had been revealed by Kyle to her.
The son of her enemy, a complete foe, Kyle, had shown it to none other than… herself.
“…Hah…! Hah…!”
Vivian gasped for breath.
Every sensation from that moment came flooding back to wrap around her body.
The hand that pinched her stomach.
The arms that awkwardly embraced her.
The forearm that lightly grazed her chest.
His nose inhaling her scent.
Something hard against her butt.
And the bite on her neck.
“…Ugh!”
Vivian moaned as she caressed her neck, flinching in pain.
There were still remnants where Kyle had bitten her.
The subtle pain from those marks sent shivers down her spine, as if that moment had returned anew.
This was her first experience of any sexual nature.
Being her first time, there were sensations she repeatedly struggled to comprehend, making her chest spin.
Vivian gripped the blanket tightly, her body shaking uncontrollably.
Even under the covers, a chill crept over her.
With Kyle’s warmth absent, the gap in heat felt more pronounced.
Images from earlier kept replaying in her head.
The smell, warmth, feelings, atmosphere from that moment.
None of it blurred; it remained vividly imprinted, captivating her senses.
The way he had pulled her close without hesitation, pushing away Serena and Lani, gripping her neck…
– Thump!
Vivian suddenly clutched her chest.
Something was shaking violently inside of her.
She thought to herself countless times that this shouldn’t be happening.
This feeling defied rational understanding.
Even though Kyle, the one she hated, had revealed his disgusting desire to her…
…A bittersweet happiness was seeping into her being, making her feel like her mind was melting away.
