Chapter 224

“There’s no way this author would have gone on a journey.”

Jinseong stared at the documents as if he couldn’t comprehend them.

William was a man who was happily living in Europe. He didn’t have to worry about business or anything; he simply spent lavishly using the money provided by his clan, living a life that catered only to his own desires, closer to that of a beast than a human.

Naturally, he had no reason to have a hobby like traveling.

The only times he left England were to seduce women or indulge in luxury, and even riding on yachts or cruises was less about experiencing the joy of travel and more about picking up women or hanging out with friends.

Tourism?

That held no value for this delinquent.

Who cares if a cathedral is grand, or if a view is beautiful, or if the food is delicious…. What value does that even have?

Food would be lavishly provided by chefs hired with clan money, and the architecture or scenery seen at tourist spots was nothing but a pointless burden that made one question, “Is it really worth the hassle to come all the way here to see this?”

Thus, it was hard to believe this delinquent had come with pure intentions of traveling.

Especially since William’s participation didn’t correlate with any famous festival; it was just a coming-of-age ceremony.

So, was he here to build connections?

That was also hard to accept.

What’s a more incompatible notion than a delinquent engaging in networking?

William was known for tearing apart and scattering his existing connections, so what reason was there for him to come all the way to a small Asian country to forge ties with the people there?

Then, was it to pick up women?

There was a slight possibility of that.

But while there was a possibility, it wasn’t a high one. William had a penchant for women, but he only preferred those with large breasts and mature appearances, renowned for not taking an interest in younger-looking Asians compared to Westerners.

Someone once said he was a picky Casanova.

So, the likelihood of him coming to seduce an Asian was slim….

Then perhaps he was coming to meet a friend?

‘That seems a bit possible.’

Despite his skin color, William was someone who mingled with various people. Of course, given his terrible personality, his friends were ultimately just as much of a delinquent as he was.

Just looking at the warriors he hung out with showed that they were of Asian and Black descent, and he accepted anyone who caught his fancy without any cutoff based on wealth or nationality.

Had he not been such a delinquent, he probably would have been viewed as open-hearted and amicable.

‘As long as he doesn’t get entangled with me, that’s what matters.’

Jinseong set aside the momentary curiosity and turned the page.

Whether William had come for some reason to the coming-of-age ceremony or to cause a ruckus, it didn’t matter as long as he didn’t involve himself with Jinseong.

Even if he rampaged and created trouble during the ceremony, what issue would that pose?

Even if he sullied the coming-of-age event with his delinquent behavior, it wouldn’t affect Jinseong in the slightest. On the contrary, it could serve as a topic to approach people with, so isn’t that a good thing?

After all, humans are beings that open their hearts through stories.

This delinquent named William participating in the coming-of-age ceremony and causing an incident was sure to become a noteworthy tale.

Thus, Jinseong continued reading the documents on his bed.

The momentary interest he had in this individual named William faded, and he thought of him as nothing more than a story and incident, remaining an observer.

The flickering flames appeared as if they would only dance in that one place. Yet, sparks leaped around, transferring the flames, and the flickering tongues of fire crawled on the ground, singeing the onlookers.

That was the very nature of flames that could not be predicted.

And then, those flames approached Ella.

To be precise, it was a flame-like human trying to get close to Ella through her phone.

[ Missed Call 24 ]

[ Unchecked Messages 13 ]

Ella sighed heavily, gazing at the words displayed on her smartphone.

As if that wasn’t enough, her hands tensed as she wanted to throw her smartphone against the wall, repeatedly clenching and relaxing her fists, and letting out an unladylike scream of “Aaaah!” due to the incessant vibrating stress. She furrowed her brow and nearly let slip a curse starting with an ‘F’ out loud but refocused herself, sealing her lips without finishing the word.

Naturally, such an unusual display of Ella caught the attention of her ever-attached Anastasia.

“Little sister, is something wrong?”

Anastasia dashed over and wrapped herself around Ella. She stared at her little sister’s tired eyes, asking curiously.

But when Ella still wouldn’t open up, she buried her face in Ella’s abdomen, moving around and tickling her.

“Eek! W-wait! That tickles!”

“Then hurry up and tell me!”

“Alright, alright! I’ll tell you, so stop!”

After enduring for a while under Anastasia’s attack, Ella surrendered in a fluster and once she shook off her sister’s arms, she slowly began to speak.

“Well, you see, an annoying, irritating, disgusting person is contacting me non-stop…”

“Annoying, irritating, disgusting?”

Ella’s reluctance to even voice the person’s name made Anastasia tilt her head in confusion.

Seizing the moment when Ella hesitated, Anastasia dashed towards her and stopped her from running away while saying the name.

“It’s someone named William R. Artua…”

Just saying that name felt like Ella’s tongue was becoming sullied, making her frown. And explaining about that person to her supposedly elder sister, who seemed no more mature than a child, only intensified her reluctance.

But as if sensing Ella’s conflict, Anastasia nodded knowingly.

“Oh, that delinquent you mean!”

“Eh?”

Ella gasped, her expression stunned as she looked at Anastasia, questioning how she knew that.

Anastasia obviously grinned back.

“Sometimes, he appears in your nightmares, doesn’t he?”

“Oh…”

Ella nodded slowly, understanding. She recalled that Anastasia had said she enjoyed Ella’s dreams when she was just a teratoma in Ella’s chest.

But soon, Ella’s face went pallid.

“Wait a minute. You saw my nightmares?”

“Of course! This eldest sister sees all the good dreams, the naughty dreams, and the nightmares you have!”

“No, wait….”

Ella finally recognized the weight of that explanation which she had previously brushed aside.

Many strange events had occurred back then. Being kidnapped by a bizarre shaman, thinking she was about to die when she met a strange figure in an odd dream, and being pulled into the dream world by this supposed sister, leading to all kinds of experiences that stirred her imagination.

Each recollection was filling Ella’s head with chaos.

So initially, she hadn’t thought seriously about Anastasia’s claim that they shared dreams.

It was just the sheer disbelief of having a teratoma in the form of her sister residing in her chest that shocked her more.

But having grown accustomed to the existence that was Anastasia—who had been practically living with her—the weight of this realization couldn’t be ignored!

“Privacy! What about my privacy?!”

Dreams are expressions of the unconscious and occur as byproducts in the processing of information.

Naturally, they contain secrets and thoughts too sensitive to even mention, and whatever Ella saw and felt inevitably made its way into her dreams.

And not only that….

What could it mean for Anastasia—who was right in front of her—to have vividly seen, enjoyed, and felt all of this?

“Dear sister, listen well.”

With a solemn expression as if imparting a profound truth to the astonished Ella looking at her, Anastasia proclaimed seriously.

“Originally, siblings share everything; they grow up seeing and experiencing both the good and the bad!”

“Y-yeah?”

“So it’s only natural that I know many things about my cute little sister! I’m the eldest sister, and you’re the little sister!”

Anastasia confidently stated as if she had done nothing wrong.

“So, there’s absolutely no reason to be embarrassed! Even if a scene of that weird delinquent William proposing to Master Agnes and getting married appears in your nightmares! Even if there’s a scene of William accepting Master Agnes into his harem! Even if there’s a scene where William appears heroically like in some action movie to capture Master Agnes’s heart!”

She gleefully shouted, citing specific examples from the nightmares Ella had once had.

“There’s no need to feel embarrassed at all!”

“Th-this!”

Pow!

“Ow!”

Finally, Anastasia received a pillow smack right in the face from Ella.
